Korean 101: Deuska no ka

All right here is another korean 101 thing that I still didn’t master even though I started learning Korean in 2011??  Well my history with korean is  mad complicated so for that read the about me section. even that is not detailed enough to make things crystal clear but hey it’s the internet i have no obligation to spill my guts.

SO recently I learned about the korean equivalent to ka IN JAPANESE.  as in honyarara or chome chome desuka

this was from IU’s song 23. btw i cannot taylor swift’s songs. I wish she would do something about her camel toe. no one needs to see that.

I feel like I’ve never heard of this construction. I probably did but just didn’t notice but considering how long i’ve been at this it’s strange.  i’m sure the other Korean learners also feel that other grammar constructs that delivers the same meaning are used more frequently.  Is this common? it seems like it would be common or useful. It really is strange to me because I’ll watch episodes talk/variety shows and  I swear no one ever said muh-ge. I literally feel like I’ve heard every other construct but this for muh. Now that I’m aware of this now I can NOTICE if truly is useful and used. as of now i’ve never heard anyone use 뭐게요は文法的に or  무엇이게요 outside  of iu’s song

just to give a reference to make this whole situation clear I’ll watch a talk/varietyi show usually a talk show actually and i’ll understand 95-100% and i usually look up words that are unknown as i watch the show becasue the words are not that frequent to the point where i’m pausing the show every 4 seconds . usually i look up the word and rewind the show 20 seconds while i read the definition then rewatch the scene and keep watching and then add thatword to anki in mcd format later on that week etc. As you can tell that’s a lot of korean i’m hearing and comprehending in the span of the 50 minute show and it’s multiple episodes and also different shows so i feel like i have pretty good handle on common/useful/ daily conversation korean. so it’s like mind-blowing to come across something that seems so basic and useful and common yet i’ve never encountered it. and of course i’m not trying to be arrogant. we all need to free ourselves of hubris. humbleness is at the core of korean and japanese culture too!  I’m just mind-blown. that is all. that applies to this and the grammar thing from uprs 3

by the way I DO NOT INCLUDE GUHARA AND THAT OTHER KOREAN mc korea that talk like barbaric slobs in my comprehension percentage. it is irritating enough listening to their voices. if they say something and i don’t understand it or don’t catch it i do not bother rewinding though i do rewind almost always for japanese or for other korean people. when it comes to it it’s THEIR FAULT i didn’t catch it or understand it. also i only care to understand what i want to understand. I have the same policy towards beat takeshi and udo-chan because it’s THEIR DAMN FAULT i don’t understand them and they usually don’t say anything interesting.  i don’t avoid shows that star guhara and that other ugly annoying korean mc because that would just limit viable korean shows that much more. it’s hard enough as it is. and i have a feeling that part of the reason that they’re so hard to understand is because they’re lazy with moving their mouthes and pronouncing and enunciating shit clearly. i have a strong feeling. I am so certain. so it pisses me off that more. if some fluent korean speakers would like to confirm this that would be lovely!

btw i love chiebukuro. i get quick awesome answers in a language that is effortless to read.

I feel progress in my KOREAN comprehension abilities

1. 1000 words I’ve looked up on naver since not sure… (I don’t think it keeps track of every word I’ve ever looked up)

Legal.High.E05.720p.HDTV.x264.AAC-YYeTs[21-07-43 . huihui lollzlzlzlkj

holy moly it turns out that I had looked up a 1000 words on my NAVER Korean to Japanese app on my iphone. This discovery prompted me to write this entry. So I pretty much only use this app when I watch Korean TV via my computer and by Korean TV only specific TV shows that interest me since 90% of Korean TV just bores me to death (but you know what I could say that about American TV due to sheer volume of TV but they American TV have some good dramas). I find that to be astounding because I really do not watch that much Korean TV compared to Japanese TV. the only Korean shows I watch are show me the money and unpretty rapstar and sporadic episodes of talk/variety shows only if a Korean celebrity I care about is on it (lately I’ve been into watching gypo/foreigners – not the beauty suda show though… ) . it must have been over the course of the year… if I had to take a stab at it … in one ep of unpretty rapstar I could look up anywhere from 10 to 30 words just because I usually need to do that with rap lyrics.

ANYWAYS that number is mind-boggling and it just goes to show you every little thing really adds up especially if you use a srs or gold-list method etc.

2) I had recently decided to take a stab at spanish again. here are the reasons why : I learned spanish FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL TO HIGH SCHOOL ( which is about 6 years) and got straight A’s but I suck it and I think I wanna finish what I started, I live in America (so unlike Japanese I’ll actually hear it incidentally going grocery shopping etc… for Japanese if I was super lucky on a given day there will be 2 Japanese people chatting next to me on a NYC train), it’s similar to English (which means it would be that much more motivating and EASY… though I must say they are STILL different languages so it requires serious adjustment to tune my brain to spanish way of thinking)… and I thought due to similarities with English perhaps it would be strategically more smart to go heavy on immersion vs. learning grammar/useful vocab and so in that process I attempted reading a book in spanish. for most spanish learners reading is easier than listening comprehension… I thought it’s similar to English so I should be able to figure it out but damn it’s still hard due to vocab that is uniquely spanish vocab and have no resemblance to the English counterpart and the spanish grammar. I’m not used to spanish grammar so it’s tiring trying to follow what’s going on since my way of thinking is only comfortable in the English, Japanese, or Korea way (I tend to just read it but not actually process IT since it’s written in an alphabet like English. so I guess reading spanish like reading unknown English words though I TRY TO READ IT WITH the CORRECT spanish pronunciation AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE). SO I MENTION THIS because although spanish is SOOOOOOOOO similar to English due to my lack of time spent with spanish it’s pretty damn hard… but I find Japanese so easy and fun to read due to all the time I spent with it. So my shoddy spanish comprehension just shows me just how “good” my Korean/Japanese are.

3) I am adding cards in MCD format and modifying old cards to MCD format. I wasn’t not able to do this before because korena was just not familiar… it truly would be draining and ineffective. So there are cards I am converting to the mcd format so i can FINALLY LEANR THAT WORD. i have so many words that i see it and have no idea what the fuck it means. it doesn’t matter how long it’s been in my deck since I TRULY TRULY half ass my Korean deck because I just don’t give a shit so there will be cards in there from 2 years ago where I’ll take a look and have no f’in clue what it means. so if my retention rate for my Japanese deck is 90% then my Korean deck would be like 40/30/ or 50 % just because I don’t give a shit… I don’t use my Korean deck for srs in the sense that I could never remember the cards but still plow through picking 2’s and 3’s just because I know there’s no point drilling them. The MCD format that I a m currently employing involves BLANKING OUT the Korean part or the Japanese/definition part. for the Korean part I choose the most obvious or easy to remember syllable so anything with a BACCHIM is usually a hell no unless I’M REALLY FEELING THAT BACCHIM to mean what it means.

Like I said I don’t actually do my deck so I read the MINIMUM amount.

basically I would never ever remember any of these cards if it weren’t for the MCD FORMAT.

4) A Korean book I tried to read/learn from years ago… I’m going to guess 2012…. since i started korean summer of 2011?? I think I made index cards out of them to do manual srs or just said f’it and scrapped the whole thing. wait never mind i did that with hanja words on a japanese site that told me how to convert the on-yomi to the korean readings.

just for the competitive bastards who might be reading my blog here are a couple words off those pages that I do not know. it doesn’t bother me one bit. as far as I know in this point in time those words are useless. I love that I have this attitude towards Korean because sometimes my attitude towards Japanese was too much…. learning to let go is very important. if it’s that important it will show up again. but if you’re trying to become super fluent you gotta realllllllly go after the intensity and the duration to learn a lot in a short period of time. I don’t have that desire with Korean because I already achieved it before lol. that is super demotivating. I strive for efficiency!

촘촘
움츠리다
산기슭 know it has to do with mountains but don’t know the actual meaning… perhaps mountain range?
반길질

수꿩

짝짓시
용암 actually I think I know this word…. due to my knowledge of the kango reading conversion from Japanese to Korean. it’s mostly like YOUGAN in Japanese.

some of these words may actually be in my srs (probably from adding them from another source besides this book) but I have no idea because I don’t really take my Korea srs like ido with my Japanese

Looking at these underlined pages (in pencil) now I will say that I still do not know all these words but now I actually do know some of the words…. by know I am very familiar with them. HOWEVER unlike Japanese where I had a burning desire and motivation to learn like all the words to get super fluent I had and still have a don’t give a shit attitude towards Korean (I don’t have a desire to get fluent). So my attitude towards the words that I still do not know from these pages is that the words are probably really useless. By useless I mean… I haven’t encountered them recently and they’re being used in this short story so these words are probably not of interest to me. the words I’m interested in learning in Korean are words that I find useful and actually encounter ( to ensure I’ll actually remember/retain the information because other wise it’s a WASTE OF TIME) . I think as language learners we should be as picky as we what want to learn when it comes to learning words. do whatever you need to do make it enjoyable or bearable etc. delete those SRS cards that just suck. another reason I don’t even interest is I have more interest in learning Korean words or grammar or phrases in rap songs because those tend to have the latest slang and offensive terms that I should KNOW! lol. smtm and uprs! I’ve mentioned this before that I hate reading Korean because I’d rather read Japanese or English because Japanese has kanji and English is such a useful language (they just both have more going on in the book industry and I just cannot stand reading Hangeul).

here is the mediafire .rar of the pictures files in case postimage.org craps out like imageshack.org

http://www.mediafire.com/download/2j88cv6ad5a9z27/korean-book%282%29.zip

this is actually 2 numbers because besides having this awesome attitude… I actually know most of the words that are underlined!!! There’s nothing like looking at something that’s super difficult and tedious now seeming less ridiculous and more appropriate for your learnig level. BUT even though the book is now at my level i won’t bother reading it because I don’t want to read it. As good as it feels knowing I know all these underlined words after 4 years when it comes down to it I have no desire to read this book. Like I read english books but I don’t just read anythig, same with japanese and the same with Korean but I really don’t like reading korean that’s uninteresting.

i was thinking how the pictures of this novel with words underlined make it seem like I suck at korean but then this other post where I put plus signs makes it seem like I’m really good at korean since the novels is underlined like crazy and this text I marked isn’t marked like crazy., it makes sense that I get these kinda polarizing results because I focus on conversation and words that come out of people’s mouth since I’m learning from interesting talk/variety content rather than reading novels all day. anyways here is the post from 2013 with the plus signs.

finally learning from this source lol. KOREAN

Like I’ve said in other blog entries despite what people may think heritage language learners have it tough too I that despite what “advantages’ you think they have it’s very possible that they suck. and I personally don’t believe anyone should be obligated to learn their heritage language… people can learn whatever language they want to. So here are some EXAMPLES I can remember since once you get better at something you forget the struggles and whatnot (though I have not reached this point in Korean, only with Japanese).

Before I started learning Korean which I started after learning Japanese I did not know common, useful, easy words such as
심하다
상처
초등 in 초등학생
at that time as far I knew they weren’t common lol.

OMG here comes the clincher. AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE of something that i probably understood but I would’ve never been able to produce myself. this is something that every heritage learner probably says….

that infamous line we all have to say at one point” I can’t speak korean”

so if you asked 2012 me pre-korean learning how do you say that… I would’ve said

한국말 못해요. I think that’s fine and dandy and really emphasizes that you really suck at korean but the better grammar construction is 한국말할줄몰라요. forget the damn particles, you’re just speaking and if the person understands you it’s fine.

But in all seriousness if somebody asked me that and I wanted to answer with I don’t speak Korean I would say it in English so it’s a nonissue for me. lol…. but just wanted to give an example.

there’s may be more but I can’t conjure them up since it’s very difficult trying to remember something that you used to be unfamiliar with that you’re now familiar with.

here are some words that I consider REALLY easy that I added back in 2012 January
다정
예의
버섯
looking at it actually most of the words are still hard lol…. probably more familiar than they were in 2012

5) I only try to learn real Korean lol. like I said before I have to use a lot of Google and chiebukuro because stuff I look up are NOT in the dictionary. likewise lately for Japanese I’ve been looking up 誤植 in Google, find nothing, ask on chiebukuro ad have Japanese people tell me that must be a typo or somebody made that shit up.. did you mean to type this? seriously it’s gotten to this point lol….

there have been so many times with Korean where I would’ve never figured it out had I not asked on chiebukuro. it’s just one of those things where only native speakers know it and can explain it. but seriously BEFORE I even embarked on my language learnig journey I had an instinctual conviction that korean is going to be harder than Japanese and this is one the ways that KOREAN is so damn cumbersome. for japanese i don’t have to ask on chiebukuro to the extent I do with korean to the extent i do with korean since google just PLAIN works.

5) blame Korean people for not being able to understand.
lol how arrogant?? you may think. it applies to instances where I cannot understand the person for speaking unclearly. for example if a rapper has poor diction I may not be able to understand them…. or maybe their diction is just okay… but as a rapper your goal is to be clear as possible so people understand you since you worked so hard to write those lyrics down. here’s an example for English speakers… do you understand Adriana Grande when she sings… your answer is probably sometimes unless you memorized your lyrics and force yourself to hear for the words. she has poor diction. there’s no fucking way me not understanding her has to do with my English abilities. here’s another example can you understand chingy when he speaks English lol…. j/k but seriously wtf is wrong rappers like him who can’t speak English.

for Korean TV for some reasons 2 of the “top” mcs are hard to understand cause they don’t speak standard Korean. one of them looks like zakiyama and speaks in the intonation of this dialect and it sounds so noisy and unpleasant. I don’t even want to understand what the bastard is saying because it’s that ear-grating ad I know Korean mc’s compare to Japanese ones…. it’s a natural result since the owarai thing is so big in Japan. in an episode of happy together all the foreigners were like I can’t understand that bastard and I had to translate what he saying into my native language for some TV show. I don’t know what’s up with the other mc but he’s damn grating too. STENTORIAN!! Just throwing that in there because like I said in another entry I don’t want to sound like Kim kardashian when I turn 30! but seriously I hate it when people on Korean TV shows get super loud to say the most boring pointless shit. stfu…

6) not relevant to this topic exactly but I wanted to touch on that annoying question how long does it take to get fluent in x or what’s the shortest possible amount of time. So like I said I am not fluent in Korean. There are too many fucking words in korean that I don’t know including probably the majority of the curse words. I was thinkng I started 2012 but I never gave too much of a shit and most of my time is dedicated to japanese

but even then I still improved significantly considering 4 years is a long time. Slowly but surely there was improvement. I’m at a point where I can abuse Mcd and drill 50 words a day and succeed if I really wanted to ( which I totally did did with japanese) . It just would not have been possible in 2012 and once you learn a language you know when is the right time to be drilling any and all unknown words you come across because you know you can remember that because you have this huge repertoire of words you already know and a strong familiarity with the language. But I don’t want to do that because I just don’t care like that. 🙂

So if you want to be fluent in 2 years etc you gotta akatt and engage with the media

That’s about it. Can say much more but I have a life.

i like enjoying korea/japan from a safe distance

i like enjoyin korea/japan from a safe distance lol. a comforatble distance at my own interest/pace. I don’t have to put myself in situations where i do in japaense/korean that i dont’ want to do or feel uncomfortable with since i’m not obligated to speak either language in my daily life seeing as i live in the us of a. I can just enjoy doing passive things like reading, watching, hearing, etc.

anyways just wanted to write about 3 korean shows i watched.

I saw an episode of놀러와   with lena park a month ago? This is one of the korean shows i like.  i watched for the interesting talk. I WISH the whole episode was interesting talk. it was 2 eps and for one of them half of it was this boring korean gagman (gag me) singing crappily and boringly. ALSO ONE of the gagme-men said this unfunny / 뻔한 (this korean word for some reason i can remember because it’s so USEFUL) statement 3 times for fucks sake! it’s not FUCKIN’ FUNNY. at lesat there was no PLAY BACK… SORRY I MEANT QUADRUPLE BACK, QUINTUPLE BAACK, SEXUTPLE BACK ETC. the episode was annoying with the GUDA GUDAKAN. it’s just like MOVE THE FUCK ON. it was just slow and draggy.

I think it as the the last 15 minutes for the second episode with the interesting talk with the weight loss and lena park’s plastic surgery story (that she did not get it.  THANK YOU. love her for that). that’s what i watched it for and that’s what they teased us with in the first 5 minutes. so that’s what im’ expecting but it doesn’t even show up till the last 15 minutes. it’s a big fu to the viewers no? surely they must have had more interesting talk. why did they bring THOSE gag-me-men on the show. they suck.

I feel bad for lena park when they say shit she don’t undersatnd especially when that shit is not funny lol. the korean mistakes she makes and her pronounciation is so cute and her… indviduality.her tone or intonation or whatever sounds really english/foreign when she speaks korean at times?? But it’s pretty obvious her english IS REALLY good (went back to america to finish a degree good… plus she seems to be into literature and poems that are in english) and her korean is pretty good … i ‘m not trying to say it from a 上から目線 way in any way. her korean’s better than mine anyhoo.  she recited a poem in english on the show which was very very english that only fluent would really feel/understand. i would call her billingual for sure!

lena park  her koraen is inetersitng. sorta reminds me of rora. not a lot of course but that tone it’s just not korean lol. sometimes i hear her accent more than other times. i don’t think accent is the correct word though.
amazing  song by lena park :

===========

I also watched RADIO STAR which i hate lol. It was the  kara episode and there was some news article so i wanted to see what the fuss was about. also jyp was on!! 😀 first of all annoying fx. DIE.  sound effects are worse than the fx… THEY ARE SO DAMN LOUD. can we have some subtlety!!!
becase i can close my eyes and not see the fx. can’t do that with the annoying sound shit UNLESS somebody invents an awesome filter that leaves the talking alone but gets rid of the crap. like i always bitch, they leave in crap that i would edit out…

so the  stuff they kept prodding were so BORING ANYWAY. the crap that made the members. even if they talked about it i don’t think it would’ve have been interesting. i’m just like who cares they’re not gonna say it/do it.  I loved how jiyeon pretty much refused to do something she didn’t want to do. i just wish she went about it more strongly and firmly. even if she did it i would’ve fast-forwarded it because it’s so boring and pointless. SHE’S NOT 9 anymore (at first I thoguht ailee is sorta old compared to evryone else but at least she didn’t have to do the creeppppppppy ageyo shit songs/performance 🙂 + she’s american. ) . who does that shit.  it was lke 5 to 10% interesting talk with jyp and kara. the rest was torture… i liked the 2 performances i just wish they showed kara’s FULL PERFORMANCE.  as much as the news was saying the kara members were weak or the hosts are too mean or push with the questions they asked but for me it was more because the crap they’re killing kara members over with are SO BORING . that’s what pissed me off . i wish it was at least 70% interesting talk but it was not. if jyp was not inthe episode i would’ve just gave up 5 minutes in. i have no idea how i fast-forwarded this episode. the fx/NOISE was SO AWFUL.

and of course the i hate the lady host. how can i not? her voice is annoying and she doesn’t say anything interesting or significant at all.

===

also recently i watched the yg family sepcial on strong herat, finally… right? finally. at one point top leaves to go to the bathroom in the middle of this girl’s really boring story. i don’t blame him, it’s GOOD TIMING and of course the way they went about the situation was exactly what i predicted wit hTHE GUDAGUDAGUDAGUDAGUDA kan..   aka gdgdgd??? AKA DRAGGGGGGGGGGGGY.  they’re making a big ass deal about it with the play back and them questioning him/ /interrogating.reproaching him. KITSUMON. there’s also the clapping and laughing. GET THE F OVER IT OR EDIT IT . they waste so much time on crap like thsi.
it’s okay askinghim for the sake of asking him but it’s just so unnecssarrily dragged out. it’s just taking up way too much time. they’v ecould’ve atlesat edited it out,

I love how in japanes etv shows they do prod in other words TSUKKOMU SHITEKI  etc whatever needs to be prodded for however long it needs to be (which is not long AT ALL). sometimes they go over time but compard to korean shows i would say they don’t.  usually it’s just short and sweet. by sweet i mean somebody saying an interesting tatoe or just something funny/interesting/cute/whatever to describe or sum up the situation, we laugh together, the end. the korean one is just like drag drag and the people don’t even say anything interesting  (stuff I already know/noticed/connected dots to and processed instantaneously) and they also repeat stuff and even not counting the numerous playbacks. it’s just TORTURE.

Of course japanese shows have their good and bad days so not every time it’s going to be like what i described above if i compare the japanes shows like to the koreans i like (some shows have the crap i hate but i suffer through it or fastforward through it or whatere because sometimes they say interesting stuff or somebody i reall ylike is on it … etc etc. BUT OF COURSE i’m not forcing myself to watch koran shows i hate and despise. which there probably is a lot considering all my grievances but i try my best.)…. it’s such a staggering difference in the lack of the guda guda. just kill me now. why is this shit taking up so much time.

** UPDAT Eyou know what i can do A DIRECT COMPARISON of this situation on japanese tv. it happened on an amazing, fantastic japanese television show caled GOD TONGUE with KANO EIKOU which was HILARIOUS.

So in this episode the host (the host clubs for women) went to the bathroom in the middle and it was really funny how they handled it. the mc prodded kano to lecture the host guy and then the 2 of them argued and kano lost (the mc on the korean show was just saying banal shit that anyone can say . it’s just like stfu) . it was really funny and it was interesting with the points both of them came up with. i just love the atmosphere of the studio. of course there’s no noise. it’s just perfect harmonious sound effects. The thing about this show in particular… you can tell that the peoepl who make it LOVE the show and find it really fun to make and watch as it’s unfolding in front of their eyes  since i can hera the laughter of the staff and at the same time the viewers have as much fun toooooo.  it’s a beautiful thing when the viewers and the makers both enjoy it. while on korean tv it’s a lot viewers are just left to die on the side of the road while the people in the studio “seem” to be having a ball (I write quotes because i really doubt they actually find that shit that funnny. they muts be turning it up for the tv).  This is definitely one of those god tongue episodes i would recommend to anyone who wants to try out japanese television… as well as to see how it spins a situation into hilarity instead of frustration as on korean television. fo course i’m not sure how interesting it is if you don’t know kano eikou as well as japanese viewers do from the past years.   his personality and ability is not that hard to grasp though.

That step out scene in god tongue is 10/10. the step-out scene in strong heart is like 0/10. it would’ve been better if they edited it out of the strong heart episode. it was that bad. it’s like night and day with how they handle it. one leads to laughter the other leads to frustration and pain.

Idiots…

I was surprised I didn’t post this on my wordpress. i’ve only posted on my lang-8. to set the right tone for the idiocy that I encountered here’s a HILARIOUS clip that makes you go WTF AND LOL.

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img690/1657/ar6k.png

before I got this bullshit on my tumblr

http://lang-8.com/6467/journals/1737465

I asked hangukdrama since it’s even relevant to her and she’s from singapore and sorta indreictly since she loves her korean.

[Korean Textbook Reviews] Ewha Workbook 4 이화 한국어

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img34/783/qmq.png

Then I got the same bullshit recently.

It’s not even just a korea/japan thing.you could do this with pretty any country + japan etc etc.  basically this person has no clear assertion at all (if i were to ask questions like well what about the  half-korean/half-ajpanese people, what about all the korean people learning japanese, all the japanese people learning korean, the korean people marrying japanese people, the korean/japanese halves who only speak japanes, the kpop people making money in japan, THE FACT THAT KOREAN PEOPLE WOULD RATHER READ JAPANESE NOVELS THAN KOREAN NOVELS (it’s in the numbers), the polyglots on this planet… so you’re saying i should pick  one or the other? or i should pick korean over japan since japan did horrible stuff to korea? I should ban japanese from my life even though i love japanse tv? this person has no answers to any of this because they have no clear stance on ths issue at all.. the previous person who asked the bs question seemed to want to tell me what i should do or what i can’t do… then i said so you’re telling me to do this? then they’re like no i don’t care what you do. my repsonse was “if that is the case you wouldn’t have sent the inital message”). they just want to point something out and feel smart? it’s not even something to point out… everybody already knows.

I’m just curious on everyone’s thoughts on this… I guess anyone who is interested in korean and Japanese and are especially is a descent of either countries … or even if you’re not a descent of either country your country probably got screwed over by japan at some point. they seemed to have a hurt lot countries in history. Do you separate the history/love of the modern culture/media?  Does it make sense that i should stop watching/reading japanese/listening to japanese and dedicate myself to becoming fluent in korean just becuase i’m genetically-obligated even though i genuinely enjoy japanese media a lot and like i said before korean tv pisses me off a lot. when it comes down to it these people are telling how to spend my time since I love watching jaapesne tv, i like my japanese music, i like reading japanese books /internet/etc.  I can’t eat sushi anymore ? lol. this person assertion is NOT FORMED.

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img6/5576/of73.png

How do you digest the information?

their logic is japan did bad stuff to korea in the past so koreans hate japanese (this is a generalization)  so at this present time people should be aware of the history and follow up on the feelings of hate by avoiding japansee crap ?  BUT IF YOU DO that then you have to go into MORE DETAILS like how far do you go? japanese people make a lot of GOOD SHIT that you probably use on a daily basis. it almost seems ridiculous to avoid japanese crap incessantly because you will have to research and go oh damn this thing was made by a jap  A LOT and  then throw it away. people should go out of their way to avoid using any korean words that are of japanese origin?   it gets so petty in my opinion. The logic is that you’re avoiding japanese shit to “win” basically in that you “lose” if you do not avoid japanese shit. but if your wasting this much time of your life hardcore hating to the point that you’re spending this much time to avoid japanese shit with research and most likely your quality of life might be lowered since you forbid yourself from using japanese shit (but maybe some of the stuff you use in your daily life is also made by another country or maybe you don’t mind footing a bigger dill for a product that is inferior to the japanese counterpart)  it sounds like you’re “losing” in actuality. it’s just stupid

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img820/9272/w0.pngf

that’s basically what I said in my lang-8. I don’t personally want to labor over this topic whatsoever and research history or wahtever. because it’s not gonna change the fact that I love myjapanese media and I will keep consuming it. NOT TO MENTION I don’t have that much free time so i’m always trying to catch up with my japanese tv shows. THAT IS ALSO A REASON  these people psis me off. clearly they have too much free time. i BARELY HAVE enough time to accomplish/enjoy what I want  (SINCE IT’S LIFE AND YOU HAVE TO WORK AND DO SHIT ) yet this loser is asserting that I should spent my tie like this (that’s basically what this person is saying though the person did not say that explicitly/directly). the people who are gonna make really vague/useless assertions are just losers. they do not sound/look educated in any form/dimension. I’m just curious on people’s insights/thoughts on this issue that i’m sure I would have more insight/thoughts about if I made my japanese ability/learning public which i don’t. I don’t like dealing with bullshit/ignorance… I know what annoying attention you get in public if you draw anime in a public place or you tell your friends I started learning japanese etc etc especially in america because everybody loves hating . I really don’t like that about ameican culture because it’s honestly stunting our growth and making people complacent . by hating, people are being discouraged. you could argue that some people may use that to fuel their passion or whatever but I think it’s more negative than positive. in the end, the hating limits your activity/what you can do when there’s people around therefore decreasing the amount of time you spend doing whatever it is that you’re passionate

about. in all earnestly I would get shifted on badly since my japanese is better thaN Korean even though I’m korean. But I don’t care it’s what I enjoy f u. It’s not my fault korean tv won’t copy japanese tv more hardcore lol

korean vowels piss me off sometimes because sometimes it doesn’t sound like what it’s supposed t sound like GODDAMNIT.

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img202/8836/yo7v.png

so i know korean learners bitch like OMG i cannot differentiate the vowels they all sound the same. i don’t understand their feelings to be honest… but this is as close to their feelings as i can get lol. for the people who are like omgs how do i improve my korean listening.. it’s simple LISTEN READ ETC. just don’t write lol…. seriously why the hell do people practice writing hanguel. it’s the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard of.  dumb as in EXTREMELY UNPRODUCTIVE.   writing kanji abillion times it not productive, and writing hanguel a billion times is less productive. write it once, the end. if you don’t remember what it looks, don’t worry you eventually after reading for 5 more minutes lol! seriously.

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img543/9739/ao5j.png

i just saw the clip of a show (the contents in this show is so bleh compared to japanese shows… they have more useful info than this on japanes shows with people accomplishing a lot in more!! ) and heard 펴정변화 but it’s obvious from the context that she’s saying 표정변화 . maybe it’s just because ‘im not doing the akatt all the time or the announcer lady is f’ing up or is being lazy. OR IT JUST SOUNDS AMBIGUOUS. i wouldn’t know because i’m not fluent in korean nor do i have the capacity or desire or time to listen to that much korean in one day let alone continuously to the point i have 9.99% confidence that i hEARD this frikin vowel that sounds like OTHER FRIKIN’vowel correctly.
here you be the judge too!

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img580/2192/siao.png

it’s the part where she eats that CAPSACIN FILLED FOOD.

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img208/7510/i397.png

this other time i was listenig to hanaguk’drama’s audio thing and i think she said  용기 or something and it sounded like she said it wrong like some other vowel… ㅕㅓㅜㅏㅓㅑㅓㅕㅜ any one of the other vowels lol with the 용 part and i was like HOLD UP and then re-wound and it sounded like youngi and it sorta didn’t at the same time. 聞こえるような聞こえないような… i was thinking did her tongue f up, did she just say wrong vowel at that moment, or does she sometimes hit that vowel and sometimes does not or am i hearing it wrong or does it sound ambiguous etc etc. i’m just curious of the relationship between foreigners and korean vowels. i was comment ask her about that whole situation but i forgot to i have no idea which audio blog it was or what minute or second it was lol.

In this song where this guy was rapping he kept saying 좋아하는 which sounded like 조박…. not sure if it’s my ears or that’s just what it sounds like… frustrating no? he is rapping so he stresses words weird of course.

this is what jobak means y’lal btw

조박 [糟粕][명사]糟粕。1.[명사] ⇒재강.2.[명사] (学問·書画·音楽などで)古人がすべてをあきらかにしたので全く新鮮味のないことのたとえ。

it sounded like 경려 to me then, and it sounds like 경려 to me now… is it the lady or is it me????

omg wtf

https://i0.wp.com/img40.imageshack.us/img40/2566/wtf.PNG

so I was dling my music off clubbos and i see this ad

so first of all i think the girls in the ad girl look mad unnatural . i think they look scary, not pretty. i actually hate how the plastic surgery is making people’s faces look the same. there’s no …. indivduality?  are the two girls in the ad two different people or the same person with different hairstyles? that right tells you this is a problem lol.

i think the ad is ridiculous. they’re like EYE RHINO FULL FACE FAT . GET 3 PLACES DONE AT ONCE.

so onethe bottom like any ad they put in all the risks.

side effects (?? the word for side effect in japanese means other stuff too.. so what would you translate it to? or are these considered side effects. i feel like there’s a better word) includes inflammation, nerve damage, bleeding

the good news : i recognized all the kango! yays! lol

oh and i personally like the ads where they hvae comparison photos, much more than this lol. this ad is just creepy and like i said are they 2 diff people or NOT.  is this literally a legitimate place? i don’t care enough to search for it.

helpful! i love the emotionless characteristic of the narrator’s voice

Korean {as it is}

Here are the first three episodes and transcripts of a very amusing Korean TV show called 남녀탐구생활. The Best translation I could come up with is “an investigation into the lives of men and women” but if anyone can suggest a better one then do let me know it.

Thanks to friends from Lang-8 for writing these for me.

Import them into LingQ and get studying.

sbs kpop star…. american idol ranting

Top 6.
ihai = sway ❤ is such a lovely song but I like the PCD version better actually lol. melody in pcd goes crazy at during parts of that song

e. michelle is boring. i feel no emotion…. her hairstyle this time is more flattering though.

the california guy... sang that song i love you baby blahblah lyric song which i only like becasue the original singer has a deeeep voice.  since his voice is not deep… rather it was screechy.. so noo.

bek a-yeun. saving all my love… boring 😦 I’ve heard this song way too many times. damn the oldies station!

OMG there’s a glee version. usually I don’t give a shit about the glee versions of the songs but QUINN  is singing half of it? well i only saw a 3 second clip but I love hearing her voice. i hate rachel’s voice…. it’s just so annoying after a while. glee version over this but of oourse!

blonde guy (no more acne blonde guy  so blonde guy = guy who can’t rap or sing) – yay. guy who can’t rap or sing for the win! very fun performance. you can tell he really practiced and shit… just a lot of performance with lots of people moving around.  just goes to show just because you can “tehcnically sing” doesn’t mean you’ll be half as interesting/entertaining as this kid (I’m obviously pointing at the American idol contestants) at least he understsands the concept of entertainment/performance. american idol contestants think karaoke = performance/moving/entertainment (worst misunderstanding ever). VERY FUN PERFORMANCE 🙂 JYP even gave him a 93 even though he said “the highest i’ll ever give you is 89 since you’re not good at singing/rapping” . Gotta watch his performance AGAIN!

bak jimineh. i found it to be okay. since she did that wizard of oz song last weekkkkkk obviously anything is inferior…. though i didn’t agree with their extreme compliments last weekkk… way too extreme.

my favorite performance this weeeeeeek was the guy who cannot sing or rap lol. it was a really fun/entertaining performance.

AAAAAAAAAAAAH MICHELLE IS STILL ON THE SHOW! 😦 this is so wasteful…… first the acne guy, then kim nayoon (she’s more intersting than michelle obviously just because she’s american lol),…..

they got rid of the american guy from california who speaks koreannnnnnn well (they never used english to communicate with him….). he always bores me with his song choices.

>> Of course they don’t do the American idol bullshit ie do cruel shit to the contestants ie sing for your life on this show and the judges might use the save on you RIGHT AFTER they find out they got eliminated… / wasting an hour or 30 minutes or however long just to tell us the idenity of that ONE PERSON who goes home. that shit takes 5 seconds MAX lol. but for some reason they don’t give the contestants enough time to sing the WHOLE SONG nor the judges enough time to say their FULL COMMENT/CRITICISM (their not using their brains anyway as far as i can tell from the content of their comments for the recap that i caught during the ep but… you know if they did)… but they have to time run MAD videos abt oh this is you’re journe thrououghtou american idol blahblha.they just spend their time horribly. it could be a fun hour but they make it as bland and boring and stretched and nonsensical as possible. not  to mention,  it’s the same shit every year. OH AND The korean HOST does such a better job than ryan seacrest. the korean host just talks endlessly and like feels in the gap so shit doesn’t feel awkward. he does a good job. cheers.

============

I caught a glimpse / glimpses of an american idol elimination episode. i was watching 3 or 4 things at a time of course so even then i’m sure i didn’t miss much. my comments are the following

who is jim? is twitter that pouplar now a days? what is up with j-lo. she’s 40 right? so why is she in mv’s like that. alot of body make up involved too probably? lighting can only do so much.  it just looks pathetic… like madonna. but anyways shit that pissed me off.

the girl who didn’t get voted off. she just gives off this horrible personality. maybe it was that hair accessory she had on or the fact that she was touching her hair frequently or maybe it was the fact thta i saw the recap of her performance ( horrible song by the way.. i’m not sure if even ali can save that song. I HATE THAT SONG)… but anyways she most definitely will not win.

well jimmy does do a better job than the judges at critiquing and whatnot…. j-lo/rendy/steven tyler.. they do such a horrible job as judges. they don’t give criticism nor anything constructive or descriptive wHICH does not help the contestants grow or stop being stuck up/stupid/brainless (ie that girl with a horrible personality that didn’t get voted off). there’s always room for improvement. american idol is so boring. i dont need to watch people karaoke. being a singer isn’t that easy especially if you want to become one of the good singers. modesty is required. Like I loved the scene in kpop star when somebody got eliminated and he said to the judges “oh i’m really thankful you told me what i needed to hear and not what i wantd to hear”. in the long run… you need to hear what you need to hear if you want to grow.

speak of which, there was this guy who is not very proficient in English even though he only speaks english? (he just seems like he doesn’t give a shit… in other words.. he’ll never succeed) so maybe he’s really dumb…. Ryan said to him oh are you afraid of becoming complacent since the judges always compliment you. he goes no.. i just want to be myself. i’m not gonna go around high-fiving people during my performance. All i’m thinking is… if you don’t know what complacent means you have really big problems.  this is complete bullshit. i had no idea why no one was like you don’t what complacent means?

I  ALSO HATED HOLLY… the girl who was the worst 3 or something. ryan asked her something and she was like throwing her hands up and whatnot and not really hvae much to say or anything interesting to say. I’m like this is tv can you please try a little harder than that half-hearted/half-baked shit.  personality is part of american idol… she doesn’t give a shit either? I just didn’t feel like she was acting in a way where she’s likable to the viewers.

so from the cap it seemed like teh song choices were crappy. also ,the guy who goted voted off probably looks like a past american idol contestant ( since there is only a billion seasons)… isn’t there a couple of them with that hair-type.

the other shit that pissed me off was when ryan sent this girl to the bottom of 3 and then he says right before the break okay guys so we’ll like announce the results after the break… actually he says instead of “after break” he says “after holly goes back the the couches since you’re not in the top bottom 2” or some shit like that. and i’m like FIRST OF ALL why are you wasting our time… don’t bring the bitch to the center of the stage in the first place.

the people they had perform on the show sucked balls. at first i was like oh boy band . one of them is sorta good looking… some of them are like not so i’m wondering why they’re in the bad. horrible performance…. especially when i’m used quality crap like immortal song. NM none of them are good looking compraed to the fictional band in the korean drama shut up flower boy band (don’t worry this english translation doesn’t do any justice… it sounds cool in korean)

the good part is the stage is bigger and fancier. bad part is the stage is not versatile (that’s the impression i’m getting… unless it can be versatile and they’re just not utilizing it)… to have like different sets/moods and whatnot. hell even the stage on immortal song isn’t that big or awesome but like they do shit so everyone’s performance is unique… really set the mood… really take someone to another world for 4 minutes… something that an amreican idol contestant will never do)

I have no idea why the ratings are high (they must be going down though). this shit is boring. americans need to learn a second language (and consume media is L2) already and jump ship off boring shit like this.

>>

OH WAIT I found this.

Back onstage, host Ryan Seacrest asks Phillips if he worries about complacency in his performance.

“No, I’m just being myself, dude,” the finalist responds. “I’m not trying to walk around stage and touch people’s hands and stuff. That’s just not me. I’m just having fun, man. I’m not trying to be somebody else. I’m just trying to play music.”

Ouch — that seemingly dismisses Iovine’s entire critique in a very flippant manner. But the singer would like everyone to know that he didn’t mean for his response to sound that way. Phillips posted a response on his official Facebook page the next morning (April 6), saying that he misunderstood Iovine’s comments and meant no disrespect.

“Thank you to everyone who supports me and voted this week! I appreciate it very much,” he writes. “I heard that some people took my comment the wrong way but i thought jimmy said if i dont move around i would get passed and all i was meaning that im not the artist who runs around stage touching peoples hands and sings to them, thats just not me so im sorry to who ever my have taken it the wrong way bc i wouldnt even be here without you guys voting haha thank you again!”

>> so in other words he is as dumb as i think he is or even more.  he most definitely does not understand what complacent means. actually his actions … i mean his words… just proves how complacent with himself even though he probably bores the crap out of any seasoned viewer (who’ve listened to a lot music/gone to lots of concerts etc). the fact that he even misunderstood jim like that just proves how complacent he is. next time ryan… don’t use big words with this guy. hell complacent isn’t even that difficult.

he most definitely should not win… we can’t have an idiot as our  american idol not that anyone cares. hell.. are the other contestants even decent? it’s more like who’ll put me to sleep faster with their soulless loud singing of songs i never want to hear ever again.

I mean even if for one second I would forgive him for misunderstanding JIMMY’s COMMENT by  LITERALLY moving around…. and pretend he knows what complacent means… so that would mean he thinks that moving around the stage/interacting with fans = becoming not being complacent and moving forward and becoming a better performer etc etc. no… that’s not all it’s limited to…. it also extends to the effort he would have to put in in tweeking the song, understanding the song, making the song his own, etc etc. so whether he was saying that because he understood what complacency meant and drew this asinine elementary decision or because he didn’t know what complacency meant and just said whatever shit that’s probably relevant to the word complacency… he still looks like an idiot.

I could criticize this episode more and more if i had seen more of it. but anyways the most interesting part was jimmy’s insight because unlike the judges he actually has his head screwed in and actually has brain cells and actually uses them since he’s getting paid to say shit. while jennifer lopez and randy and that rocker get paid for saying nothing…… you don’t even have to speak english that well to say what they say… it’s literally limited to 4 phrases.. so PATHETIC. the results show makes you not want to watch the original show in the first place since they show the meat of the performance and the people’s comments and criticism whether it’s read off by ryan seacrest or some other method. this show is so pathetic .

Kpop star top 10 && top 9 episodes.

WOW What happened.
So I saw 2 eps of kpop star, Top 10 && top 9. It’s like the first episode of immortal song season 2 vs… the episode with ali .top 10 episode as faras performances go is like 5/10 and like top 9 is like at least 7.5. it’s such a huge difference!!!

So watching the top 10 episode.. I was like wow the level is low. Like low as or lower than american idol especially with that one guy who doesn’t even sing or rap??/ he’s an artist or some shit? As always the judges have brains unlike the judges on american idol. so nonetheless it is enjoyable to watch just because I like listening to their korean lolz..  i skip certain perfromances just bc i don’t see the point of watching it.  BUT BECAUSE it’s live they don’t sub anything but VTR’s so…. it’s a good thing i’ve come and watched all this time with the judges critiques subbed in korean. So like I don’t have training wheels no more 😦 well for the most part I get what they say and hopefully they’ll never air immortal song LIVE lol for this very same reason.

BUt seriously from the top 10 episode to the top 9 episdoe… the “artist guy” who is not good at singing or rapping became amazing lol. like seriously? everyone else stepped their game up like crazy. I loved “inside the rain” by that guy who’s really poor and is serving in… something. as well as a bunch of  other ones in the top 9 eps BUT it does not include michelle or the other girl that sang the whitney girl song, cheerleader girl.

The ones I liked were at 35,52,68,75 minute … so that’s 4 performances. that’s pretty good!! compared to the top 10 episode especially. Now I totally see why it’s so hard to choose… even though someone may hvae a shitty performance, the judges see the potential for growth and if they live up to that potential or go beyond that then… the judges made the right choice but if the person doesn’tr grow or doesn’t grow enough…. then it was a miss. The judges kept saying inthe top 10 oh it’sthe first time, you get nervous then your throat is blocke dup and blahblah but it really was true because the guy who sang “in the rain” or inside rain… however you translate it was COMPLETELY different in the top9. I felt something when I watched him perform compared to top 10 which was boring.

In the top 10 episode, I liked literally liked half a performance or something? It was only one person or two and then the person who got voted off… just shouldnt have. as far as I see it, out of all the girls either michelle or the cheerleader girl is the worst so i don’t mind if they’re off the show. michelle bores me and cheerleader girl has a nice voice sometimes but she doesn’t have emotinal depth and she is so awkward and stiff all the time. i mean if she overcomes it and gets better.. i’m fine with it.

But seriousyl, the lvel was so low in episode 10 and the judges were really nice and actually really liked certain performances though iwas bored by it… I was thinking omg don’t tell me this show is going to become like akb48. akb48 in the sense…. the people are at a really low level and we watch them grow as time passes. but the bad part about akb48 is they don’t really grow much… like they’ll never reach the level of the kpop groups that practice like 24 hours a day lol… I’m not saying that being as good as a kpopstar should be their goal or that it’s a good thing  or a bad thing but i’m pretty sure they’ll never reach it.  I don’t like akb48 for their singing/dancing abilities ( i like them from their shows like bimyo~~ <3). though i must say… from that commercial that minegishi was on, that the dancing for flying get is hard and looks really good if you’re good at dancing like minegishi. the commercial is the one where minegishi’s face is pasted on all the akb members faces in the MV. I feel like watching your idols grow and you support them and cheer them on which helps them grow…. that is a good concept all in all it’s just… akb48 as  far as singing/dancing it’s not as good as other groups and… i just don’t like how in japan mediocrity is tolerated or wanted or alluring…. whatever the word or vibe I’m getting.  I thought mediocricy was a word but apparently it’s not according to firefox spelll checker!

OH AND I love my immortal song as always! do try watching especially if you hate american idol lol…. with their boring, soulless, shallow singing. not to the mention the songs that are overused/sang to death that no one ever wants to hear again.

ANOTHER motivation for KOREAN

OKAY SO I watched this girl’s video and because she was speaking english with an accent I assumed she was korean. Now that I think about it it’s not the typica typical korean accent on the english but you know I just thought accent + content of the video = it must be a korean girl. But then I later found out that she’s actually SingAporean and from the wiki I found out that country has like 4 official languages.  So anyways her korean was pretty good as far as the stress/intonation like she doesn’t have that annoying accent that american/canadian people (the kpop monday people) have but you know she is from singapore and so  maybe there’s no  point saying that. It was just better than I expected… whatever that means.

While she is motivation for learning KOREAN, that white girl onYT however is NOT. I’m talking about that white girl that speaks korean in the most whiney, bitchy way possible and she pauses a bunch and it’s just like no. For some reason I associate her with the lang-8 entry this person wrote. so this person wrote this lang-8 entry in korean cause he/she’s learning korean and he/she wrote it like they were speaking polite korean. there’s differences between polite korean vs. written korean. I would equate writing  a korean entry using ONLY polite korean that is frequently used in ballads and dramas (~~~ 요) instead of written as a gay person writing something in that gay/onee-style  (I know this isn’t a good/fair way to metaphorize it… so if somebody who’s mad GOOD/PROFICIENT in korean and english would like to give me a better metaphor... please tell mE! or if you agree, tell me!) . Written korean is written korean and writing korean in polite-talk form just doesn’t match. It just gives off a horrible vibe. Is it like ue kara mesen 上から目線? It’s just mad unnatural and like ugh. I just hate it.  I mean still … I give her props for studying it for 9 years though it probably equates to at least half the 9 years going by AJATT… well AKATT here. if she drops the whiney/bitchy way of talking, then I ‘m sure more people would write her nice comments. I would be so saddened if she was actually deranged enough to think korean people talk whiney/bitchy 24/7 and/or think that korean people actually find that acceptable.

Like I said before THAT’s the reason I hate korean sometimes lol. people can sound so damn whiney& bitchy in real life and in dramas etc etc (certain drama scenes I have to fastforward irregardless of how well it might be written… it just sounds so annoying…   I think part of it has to do with the fact that I understand english by becoming able to understand english(note this is direct translation from japanese cause I’m too lazy to figure out how to say this more naturally in english) //assimilate myself to the sounds of english I’ve noticed how annoying korean sounds when people argue and bitch and whine …. like I’m less tolerant of the annoying side of korean. K-indie is so nice and soothing to the ears though.

LIKE I wrote in my ABOUT ME SECTION. I wouldn’t have ever attempted to learn Japanese if it wasn’t for applemilk1988 and I would’ve never followed her hilarious e-drama on raspberrysyrup.livejournal.com  if it wasn’t for HER. Speaking of which I love Nick’s english…. it’s very very very fun and stimulating to read and I have to consult urbandictionary constantly lolz… I think it’s good to have rivals (try to pass them ASAP… in this case I passed emily’s level in 1 month with tae kim LOLZ!)  or people you look up to…. just knowing other people that are trying to do the same thing you are. Though this singaporean girl is different from emily because she doesn’t have the irritating/arrogant factor…. but for some reason she catches my eye. Likeable people can be motivational too… not just insufferable people like emily. OMGS you can spell likeable both ways.. likable.

SPEAKING OF WHICH MORE MORE MORE MOTIVATIONAL PEOPLE… TARGETS from kpop.

The girl from SNSD. the one with the unique voice. Tiffany I think. She was on episode 5 of strong heart.u So  definitely watch her part for motivation/laughter.   for that show I only like the part where they actually tell interesting stories… IU Performed pretty well on that show  on that airing either at the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012. by perform I mean tell her story.  I really liked her from that and this other talk show that she went on. I really like the korean/japanese talk variety… especially japanese because you get to know the people o nthe TV with their personalities. I usually end up liking( platonically… not romantically lolz including the boy band people like arashi) the people from their personality + voice > appearance. I really like certain people’s voices.

for SNSD I of course like the people based on their personalities which I can tell from when they talk so out of them 9 I like Sunny, sooyoung, hyosun, yoona ( I didn’t like her before but then I grew to like her… like her obnoxious laughter which is like sorta unexpected from her). soo young and hyosoun just because they are the best-talkers right? at least that’s what I get from random clips I’ve seen and that SNSD show with the dangerous boys. I like korean people that are really good at speaking korean. I do not like korean people that are really good at speaking korean yet they just talk in this whiney/bitchy tone or just whine/bitch all the time. But you know I really like CHRISTINA… that crazy italian lady that was on strong heart one time.

P.S. I have to finish watching her videos.. .the Singaporean girl.  AND I don’t know if people notice but in my lang-8 and whatever in general I try to avoid using gairaigo… especially  english ones as much as possible because it’s so badddddddd. some of the words they use/abuse is just horrible. Because I speak english I refuse to use it, unless there really is no way around it. On that same note, I refuse to ever say FIGHTING! or 화이팅 to be more accurate because it’s just retarded from my POV from the same reason as abaove. might as well as something else besides that.

hMM she’s inspiring toooooo

Zainichi girl learning korean. she’s pretty good with her pronunciation  her grandmother speaks mad good japanes elol, for obvious reasons.
