k-pop korean hip hop competition shows on youtube

so many of them in general- these are official youtube channels so they usually have subs in different languages … they are not those fan channels that will disappear any second. there’s so many competition/audition shows that aren’t on youtube that aired in korea

&howling – hype’s boy group for JAPAN – there are korean and japanese contestants- there’s a chinese guy too . I saw this show at 1.5 x  or faster when they’re not singing/dancing and just thought wow all the good japanese singers are on this show and NOT on boys planet 999. kinda wish keita sang in the over ME group. the seconds of his vocals in the position audition were to die for.

a2k – JYP’s audition show for a group to promote in america?? damn this is such a treat for people who have seen JYP in kpop star, niziu season 1 etc etc. i hope the group succeeds in america.

BMSG – Japanese company – boy group – seems popular in japan based on the view count

superbee’s rap academy – hip hop

I think this is season 2? it’s called DROP THE BEAT – koreans always say drop the bit.  drop the 장단 is slightly better

runext – hype girl group project  ft sooyoung from SNSD -video not available to watch in japan for some reason

JTBC

YG GIRL GROUP – Omg they went so HAM with the skin smoothing filters. it’s okay to have pimples. YG is unrecognizable because he is smoothed to death lolz. kinda surprised he’s just back after getting outta jail… maybe it’s been years since then

TEASURE BOX – YG boy group. was also on v-live which is now something else. has korean subs

niziu – jyp Japanese girl group – he collaborated with Sony –  aired in Hulu Japan. I had to use discord to watch it  . I was kinda disappointed when he said utsukushiideshita but it’s the thought and intent behind the words that counts. Can’t help but be inspired by jyp squeezing in learning how to speak and understand Japanese in his tightly packed schedule.  apparently there’s an edit from the original hulu version

also some 미리보기 on mnet which is a  good chunk of the ep

street man fighter

be mbitious – legendary twerking

street women fighter

OBSESSED with BRODUCE!

3909599dee61d5f48aaccc871a0ad6b61f69618f-hq   giphy  ong

haha I was originally going to name this blog post “found my crack for 2018!” That crack was gonna be Produce 48 but it turns out to be Produce 101 Season 2. This post was going to be in the same vain as my Unpretty Star post back in March of 2015 in the conception of the post in my head! I am genuinely surprised at how amazing this show was from start to finish! Unpretty Rapstars wouldn’t have blown up if it wasn’t for Jessie and it’s the same thing here. The show would not have blown up if it weren’t for the people in it.

This is my second edition of thank god I know Korean and that my inconsistent, sporadic efforts of watching korean tv (and mining words while watching and HALF-ASSING my reviews as much as possible) from 2012 to 2015 weren’t for nil. It really would be a pain the ass if I had look up something every 10 seconds or watch it with english subs or japanes subs or something ( IT’S JUST NOT THE SAME)

8yEU2c.jpg<-–  There’s so many interactions and convos that I loved to BITS in this show including this! unforuntaely I found out ahead of time that daniel’s group won before watching the eps since the mnet performance is already up on youtube since it’s already been over a year.

8yElB0.md.jpg<- otome at full force!

8yEe2q.md.jpg< – I took this screenshot because they didn't blur his tattoos.
8yELxQ.md.jpg <- OMG Daehi’s handwriting! I took a picture because it looked interesting and unique to me. I notice there’s an OTOME quality to him that I like a lot!

8yEY1a.md.jpg <- mnet’s editing here added to the hilarity. I wonder how jisung felt about the edit.
8yEope.md.jpg

It was a bunch of coincidences that lead to me discovering my crack! I got to the OMONA lj somehow from googling something that popped into my head. Then I saw matsui jurina and I was like what is she doing there? Then I found out produce 101 was collaborating with AKB48 and their sister groups for Produce 101 season 3. To me that that sounded SO INTERESTING and it’s something that I never thought I would ever see. By see I mean like having a jpop idol perform in front of the teachers of Produce 101. Seeing their reaction was as fun and satisfying as I imagined it to be! (I was sad to hear that yabuki nako’s audition won’t ever be released since it was deemed too sexual and inappropriate or something. I actually know that AKB song –tonari no banana- and I like it alot because it’s catchy and the lyrics are interesting. If you want to interpret the song “that” way you can but I never did. I just thought it was cute and relatable). I was into AKB48 to some extent in 2008 to 2011 since they were being pushed like crazy and I was into Japanese TV and I had my oshimen and others members that I liked and they had the AKBINGO show which could be very funny depending on the episode. However the year is now 2018 and most of the members I liked the left the group so I’m not into them as much though I will forever be Sashi’s fan! I did watch the speeches of the members when the group was at its peak. I do understand the appeal of Japanese idols that even though they may not be good at singing or dancing the fans love supporting them and watching them grow/improve and sometimes cute/fun is enough for the fans. So when I heard about the show 2 eps had already aired so I watched them and I felt very impatient for the 3rd ep and I felt gald I found out about it 2 weeks in rather than before it aired because the waiting game is killing me.

8yEzYD.md.jpgI had seen Produce 101 season 1 and I enjoyed watching it but I didn’t feel compelled to watch season 2 because I figured it’d be the same format so I’d be bored. Also I THOUGHT that I find girl groups more interesting than boy groups so I didn’t want to watch it. Also the IOI group wasn’t much of a success in my eyes with their lackluster debut song DREAM GIRLS (It’s very generic and boring. calling it the poor man’s into the new world (SNSD) would be a compliment) and the other 2 songs that weren’t up my alley. But then I found out that the group formed from the second season was actually successful and I was so impressed by their debut mv ENERGETIC because the song was catchy and the dance was captivating. I’m not into kpop or boy groups but it grabbed my attention and I watched it beginning to end (usually I fastforward 45 seconds, listen/watch a little bit and then stop when it comes to checking out kpop mv and stuff since not everything is going to grab me). In a Produce 48 video that MNET posted on naver/youtube that wasn’t included in the episode they featured ariyoshi risa and takada kenta from the previous produce 101 seasons. So I wanted to watch it because I was curious about this Japanese trainee. I decided to watch it during the 6 days of the week when produce48 doesn’t air. Also I figured it’d make produce 48 easier to watch since the format is nearly the same down to the stuff they make national producer representative say.

8yE7fF.md.jpgEven though I’m watching Produce 101 season 2 a year after its initial broadcasting as opposed to while it’s airing. It worked out better for me in that I love this show so much that after episode 3 or 2 or 4 I knew I had to watch this show every day to finish it ASAP. I’d die if I had to wait a week for an episode. I usually am patient and able to wait weeks or months to watch the next episode when it comes to TV shows… it never really hooks me to that point.

I think the only other male-idol competition shows I’ve seen were the one for WINNER and the one for becoming a member of IKON ( I could not watch the last episode but i hate live-finales anyway.) and Produce 101 season 2 blows both out of the water both in terms of performances and entertainment value.

I’m going to write my random observations, rambling and ruminations about the show.

*******

I thought it was hilarious when the idol trainees did sexy dance moves during the 1st two eps that made the Lee Suk Hoon (a very talented singer who was on immortal song way back when) feel uncomfortable lol. He’s a guy and he’s not gay so it was awkward…

They had so many ranking ceremonies in this show. I don’t know if they had more than the first season but it seemed like a lot but I wasn’t bored by it. Compared to the 1st season the ranks move more dramatically and unpredictably. I don’t remember being this emotionally invested, shocked, and connected for the first season. It was incredibly sad watching it at times but it’s just the reality of the idol world/television surival series. I sometimes fastfowarded the parts when BoA described the trainee before announcing his name or when they took forever to announce stuff but I definitely had to listen to any and all other talking.

8yEnJA.md.jpgI loved seeing the interactions/facial expressions/reactions/bonding between the trainees. It was evident from the first 2 episodes like when dong-bin got nervous during his bubblegum performance or when people did cringey dances or when lai guan lin and his fellow chick trainee did their dance fundamentals practice routine.    I’m sure that was present in the 1st season but I didn’t love it to bits like I did for the second season. Surprisingly I loved the SPORTS FESTIVAL they did for episode 10(?). It was incredibly funny and fun to watch. A big part of the reason why it was so fun is because I got to know these trainees for the past 9 episodes and every episode is usually as long as a movie. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the part when Jae-hwan started laughing like he lost his mind. I was genuinely jealous and happy that he was laughing and having so much fun rather than shocked. It reminded me of the pure joy and fun one experiences  during childhood. Usually when they play game and stuff on korean talk/variety shows I never find it that funny and fast-forward the crap out of it but I savored each second for this show. In the same vain I was surprised I enjoyed watching the arm-wresling ( I loved their interactions like saying something to the opponent to intimidate them ) and the ghost scare prank ( omg daehi screamed with such a high-pitched voice. I love his otome-ness. I also love fujimon’s otome-ness). For produce 48 they did some scare prank too but it wasn’t as interesting or funny ( it was the typical uninteresting crap I expect from korean talk/variety shows that doesn’t do shit for me so I fast-forwarded). I absolutely loved the bonding they showed between the trainees. It was fun to watch and made me fuzzy inside. Something about this show is very special. They were incredibly lucky to have daniel kang and all the other trainees that were incredibly talented or interesting. I was in pure shock when I heard Daniel thought of joining show because jisung wanted to join the show because I thought of the what if’s….  I don’t think Produce 48 could ever surpass this show simply because they can’t have interactions/conversations/lines that are as memorable simply due to the language barrier.  Even though the episodes are so long I feel so sad now that I can’t watch it anymore since there’s no more left.

8yEvSM.md.jpg

(<—- hilarious!)

I loved the korean-ness of the show. By that I mean the ggal-ching (the thing you put in your shoes to make yourself taller), the lipstick, the cushion. I DID NOT realize Korean guys or kpop guys wear lipstick. for some reason I thought they stopped at guyliner. I was mistaken. I thought the Daniel's lips stood out sometimes but I never connected the dots in my head that that's lipstick. I think he did the gradation lip look at one point and it looked really good (unless that's his natural lip color). I also loved Daniel's blonde hair! That color works so well on him as if he's naturally blonde. I used to think that asians don't look good with blonde hair usually but I realized it just depends on the person and the shade of blonde.

8yEH03.md.jpgI went into the show knowing that Daniel Kang won and during the first few eps I didn’t get why because he didn’t stand out. In fact he was never the center but sometimes I get the impression he’s the center of the particular performance because he stands out. It was apparent when I saw the 2 sorry sorry performances. People in daniel’s group had star quality and each person stood out while the people in the first group were difficult to remember/differentiate. I also noticed him whenever they put him in the shot for his facial reactions to stuff.

I could say so much more if I took notes or something while watching it but I loved the show way too much to be doing anything like that.

I noticed that in one of the earlier eps that they didn’t sub the second half of the episode. usually they do their editing/post-production thing where they put text on the screen to make it more interesting and fun to watch. most importantly, they add korean text whenever people talk so I don’t miss a word and generate anki cards with ease. I thought maybe they just ran out of time didn’t have time to add in the korean subtitles. I was annoyed though! there are english subs available for this show for anyone who like me is watching this  with learning korean as another impetus to watch besides pure enjoyment and joy. I would’ve definitely turned the english subs on for those parts if I knew they existed (so I don’t miss out. english subs is better than no subs… in case the translator catches something i couldn’t catch) but I didn’t bother searching for english soft subs. But I watched one of eps with the english subs on a little bit because that part wasn’t subbed in korean very much but I quickly realized I probably am much better than the translator at korean. i realized the translator misheard 과정 as 가족 which are katei and kazoku respectively in Japanese and went to town with it lol (I’m sure all you anime/drama fansub watchers know what I’m talking about when the translator mishears or misunderstands stuff and then translates with all this confidence and you’re like…. surely you’re aware that you’re unsure yet you translation oozes of unwarranted confidence). Even if you were speed-translating or whatever you call it no fluent korean person would ever mis-hear/misunderstand like this (those words sound so different… bad sound quality or not) especially with the way it was used in the sentence for that particular instance.

At first I thought the lyrics of na ya na is melodramatic with parts like “I’m scared that this might be a dream.”However, later I realized how the lyrics of the song matches the show perfectly and isn’t melodramatic since being a trainee is so depressing. ( lol I pulled up more of the lyrics   너는 내게 너무 예뻐서 꿈일까 난 너무 두려워. guess it is melodramatic but I’ve grown to love the lyrics nonetheless )  In the episodes where they announce everyone’s rankings there’s a lot of surprises and I remember this one particularly trainee was shocked and couldn’t believe his name was called and if I remember correctly he said “is this a dream?” or something along those lines.   Then I also thought how the lyrics apply to everyone since you can’t predict the results of the voting as evidenced by all the shocking, happy, and sad moments in the show during the ranking announcement ceremonies. It must be surreal to know you were one of the 11 people who got picked out 101 or 90 something trainees especially since BoA paused for a long time before announcing the name! (Well it’s not her fault). Other than the long pauses that BoA had to place I must say that MNET did a fantastic job with the live finale. I remember the kpop star season 1 finale being crappy in the way that live finales of competition shows are known for…

I thought it was hilarious how they used the dothraki background music from Game of Thrones on dong-ho (apparently he goes by baek ho in nu’est).

I recommend recording audio on clyp.it  to ask people online to transcribe for you if you want that.  I definitely use it when I get really curious and love whatever it is I’m watching.

Here’s a few of the questions I asked. I asked a lot of questions because I love this show and there’s 11 eps and each episode is at least 2 hours long so there’s definitely stuff I learned from the show.

 2   3   4  5

I highly recommend this show to anyone who is remotely interested in it! It is hands down my favorite season of the PRODUCE series!

out of the final group my favorites are ji-sung ( i love talk/variety people), jae-hwan (his voice makes energetic that much more powerful), ong seong-wu ( love his unique last name, good looks, and talk/variety skills), kang daniel ( wow he deserves to number one), lee dae-hwi ( i only noticed him in the beginning for obvious reasons) , lai guan-lin ( loved his troublemaker routine with this trainee friend from cube and the part when they played charades and he was like i don’t know what that means and said PASS). So I will be very busy in the future trying to watch all the talk/variety show appearances by the members of WANNAONE (radio star, happy together, snl, WEEKLY IDOL – wow I can’t believe they made them perform nayana at 2x… etc etc LOL NEVER mind snl made them perform it at 8x ) because I want to learn more about them and my MO for talk/variety shows is usually watching the episodes that feature guests who pique my interest.

I decided to look up the meaning of words and take screenshots while watching the show so I can keep watching show instead of pausing to make anki cards. I think this might be more efficient since I’ll make the anki cards later on and just focus on that task instead of going back and forth between watching and making anki cards. Also giving myself that week between taking the screenshot and making the anki card may help in deciding to not add cards that aren’t worth adding if let’s say they use the word 10 times after I took the screenshot (at that point I may feel like I don’t need to make an anki card since I heard it being used so many times or make less cloze deletions). And as always native material didn’t fail me and I got some really cool and useful words/grammar (mostly vocab ) from this show!  I don’t understand those people that still do textbooks despite having gained enough proficiency to go after native stuff.

On a random note, I heard that show me the money season 7 is actually 777 which made me think that it’s airing on 7-7-2018 (okay I realize now that the year is 2018 so it doesn’t match up 100% lol) and I got excited and overwhelmed because I feel like I have my hands full with produce 48 because the episodes are so long. But then I realized nothing aired on that day and I find out that the auditions are kicking off on 7-7 and the show is airing in September.

on another random note I love learning Korean from song lyrics especially rap stuff like ZICO because there’s wayaku available (japanese translation) and also english translations available. It saves me a lot of time because the problem is either I don’t know the words or I don’t know how to interpret or infer the intended meaning of the lyrics (since there’s no subject so you gotta infer that and more + any new cool, hip, lingo that I am not savvy on. I seem to have more problem understanding korean song lyrics since korean grammar is more complex than Japanese grammar to say the least lol. I think I read somewhere there’s 10x more grammar somewhere but who knows… japanese has less grammar and keeps it simple but has pitch accent to make up for the difficulty level lol) and I notice this happens way more frequently rap stuff and trying to tackle this with only a dictionary (especially korean korean one depending on the word ) or google is just time-consuming.  This is kinda related since wanna one members collaborated with zico for the sub unit song and I mined from the wayaku while referencing the english translation.

Korean 101 : part 3?

I think this is my 3rd post entitled Korean 101. I just share Korean words or sentences that I still don’t know or don’t understand yet they seem basic or common. I find it interesting how I can watch Korean variety/talk tv with lingoes dictionary and understand it 95 to 100% and still not know certain useful things.

87ql2i.md.png

The first thing is from a song from Hyorin’s solo album. the song is 꺼져

니가 내게 해줬던
그 말들
그딴 말들 다 필요 없어

뒤돌아보면 미쳤던 거지

The word I didn’t know was the one that’s underlined. The general meaning is clear from context but I definitely wouldn’t have figured out the nuance.

同じ「そんな」という意味ですが、
그딴の方は少し蔑んだ言い方です。

 87qzCo.md.png

( Zico was saying exactly what I was thinking because people make various facial expressions unconsciously and the camera is going to catch all that. But for this rapper I swear I never saw him smile or laugh until that particular scene which is quite an accomplishment lol)

87qOYm.md.png

The following sentence was said by a rapper on SHOW ME THE MONEY 6. I think the situation was his performance/rapping didn’t go that well. So when I heard it I was kinda sure that it meant something “bad.” But then I saw the grammar somersaults (not not have, have) and thought I’m not so sure. I didn’t want to think about it so I asked someone on chiebukuro.

I included this in my korean 101 post because Japanese has constructions like this all the time but I don’t blink an eye and I comprehend it effortlessly and automatically. There’s nothing confusing about it for me.  But for some reason I haven’t come across this construction as much in Korean so I got intimidated and overwhelmed.

sbs kpopstar && learning korean.

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img9/8052/8000yuti.png

so i find this show useful for learning korean… at lesat before they get to the live performances (no korean subs lol). so what I really like is as I said is the judges. the fact they use the brains to convey their advice/thoughts to the contestants. you can tell they are experts/knowledgable about their field which is music with the words/concepts/ that come out of their mouth. sometimes it’s just so specific and/or something i would never point out/notice etc etc. OR I was iffy about their performance but I couldn’t figure out why and the judge just explains exactly what was wrong. it’s just really insightful stuff they say… like they’re working for their paycheck which is to give comments/critiques that is of value to the contest and is comprehensible to the viewer toooooo.. and if also possible, also interesting.yes, they are doing their job of being a judge which means you gotta be articulate…

MEANwhile on american idol they put anyone as a judge and the ones that know a thing or two about music are more concerned with being nice to the singers who can’t sing when they reject them than being specific and constructive. it’s like they’re forced to be limited with what they can say or they’re being super lazy… it’s all very generic/boring /stuff anyone in the audience can say. ie that was the wrong choice or this song doesn’t really show off your range/skills/etc etc. it’s like aynone can say that!!

so what I’m saying is I mine my korean words/grammar from what the judges say… preferably after interesting performnaces or performances that i loved for obvious reasons …. or everyone laughed after the judge said a comment or whatever other reaction that makes me curious. i’ve always mined other words from this show and by the first sesaon ended I can confidently say my comprehension has improved a lot lol. a little looking up goes a long way. it feels like a little bc i don’t look up everything i don’t know. well as of now i have 128 cards tagged kpopstar but sometimes I forget to tag and i didn’t watch the eps from this season but I did see the performances (I was sad that they didn’t upload the judges comments bc I’m as invested or more invested in that depending on if the person sucks/did only okay etc) so i want to check out the comments for the auditions i loved.  them vietnamese fans will upload it somewhere with vietnamese subs 🙂

so what i’m saying is i cannot do this with american idol if let’s say i was fluent in korean and was learning english bc the judges don’t say anything worth understanding lol. they don’t even try to convey their thoughts/constructive criticism. they’re too lazy to use the english language to its fullest potential. they’re too lazy to use their music knowledge/vocabulary or they’ve forgotten it or don’t know shit. i cannot tell which it is but it’s just complete bs. they don’t deserve their pay…. they don’t even do their job … not even the bare minimum. i love how on kpop star even if the performances is amazing the judges give specific explanations/reasons as to why it was so amazing and what really touched them/impressed them. meanwhile on american idol the judges just yell out some random phrase and then the crowd boos/cheers …. rinse and repeat. it’s like wtf… they’re not doing their job.

SNSD – ALL MY LOVE IS FOR YOU M/V

Jessica’s part in the beginning: her voice sounds annoying here…

the kokoro prononciation is just bad. if they let sooyoung sang the kokoro line or the first line that jessica sang, this song would be SO MUCH BETTER..

0:48 lol at first i thought taeyeon said うっとしくて then I realized she was trying to say ふと深呼吸. the way she said ふと was so… i was really thrown off.

also I hated the way she sang 0:46 nagareteku keshiki.

omg like i said make them listen to japanese/karaoke japanese songs instead of assuming that japanese people won’t notice.  It’s the same story as last time everyone’s pronounciation/intonation is offfffffff. (from watching this video I can definitely say that karaoke totally helps since i could actually understand what these korean people were saying. there wer ea couple people that were a little off or just had to commit the usual pronounciation fumbles that korean people do like the tsu sounds but ovreall one guy sounded so japanese lol. I was surprised how japanese thsees korean people sound) Or even if they do that, maybe it’ll take time till some change/improvement occurs and while that process is going on they can use sooyoung. I get that she’s not lead vocal so fine dont’ give her the lead vocals, but give her seomthing to help us out here. i think it’s just rude to the japanese fans because one it’s a ballad… if the pronounciation is off it’s gonna ruin it. secondly,  i’m sure everyone’s sick of jesica and tiffany’s voice and like i said jessica’s voice in the beginning sounded really annoying. maybe the accent problem compounded  to that issue.

1:36 I hear tiffany sing  愛が辛くなって, I wonder what she’s really saying.
I mean からく MIND YOU NOTつらい. maybe she’s saying 軽く

question why the hell do you not let sooyoung sing.… if it’s a matter of popularity/success in JAPAN she’s pretty popular. she sorta has an edge over the members in Japan since her japnaese sounds good (上品 is the word they use to describe her japnaese and let me say that’s such an awesome compliment… because not everyone can sound  上品… that’s a really positive characteristic they use to describe her japanes on top of her ability to speak japanese)

there’s parts where i don’t understand what they sayin…. unless i check the lyrics.

omg it’s a ballad why the f is sooyoung not singing!!! yet again.  it doesn’t matter if she’s singing with the other members in the “sing all together” parts because her perfect japanese/understandable is covered by their accented japnaese so even though one member is pronouncing and intonating and all that correctly if the other 8 aren’t it’s going to sound bad since that one person can’t overpower everyone else lol.

and they let yoona sing… whyz.

from what i can tell from the mv they let seohyun, jessica, tiffany, taeyeon, yuri, sunny,  yoona get separate parts and then the other members can only do the part where they sing together . OMG  7 members got separate parts and then sooyoung and hyoyeon got nothing? are they tone-deaf or something? why are they not allowed to sing on ballads?  I can get hyoyeon if her voice doesn’t match the song or whatever reason they want to give but to not let soo young sing is like???  like i asked last time, is her singing really crappy or something? I never got that impression.

yoona was … mis-saying mirai.  which irritates well i don’t want to pick on her since everyone was just off.

I’m sure certain members are better than others at pronouncign japanese but i don’t have time to analyze everyone, not to metion, not everyone has parts and i do know for certain that sooyoung’s japanese is the best so i do not see the point of looking into some ranking/assessment. her 3 years in japan were not for naught and they’re not going to catch up to her that fast…..

EDIT:  2:00 is sooyoung and hyoyeon either has a small part or has a part she shares with someone or no part… I don’t remember what the lyrics website said exactly.  but the 2:00 sounds like sooyoung + member/s so they are treating her like shit basically. or maybe they have some echo effect so it sounds that way.

I also found out from the site that sooyoung had a part in time machine but like above, it sounds like sooyoung + member/s mixed in so it’s not even anything.

>>EDIT:

I saw the talking part of MUSIC STATION with shinee and KEY, one of the members is like  I watch lots of jpaanese variety shows like london hearts… which he described as super fun to watch which I agree with!  AND of course his japanese was the best out of everyone!!! The other people’s Japanese… I probably wouldn’t hav e understand them as well if I didn’t have a ear for korean (my years of hearing/listening to korean)… yes they’re speaking in japanese but it’s like their speaking in japanese with their korean voice so some of them sound girly so… i don’t get why they don’t all watch london hearts??/

And looking back he is my favorite shinee member. I decided this when i was watching the shinee music video and  heard his voice. Either it’s him or Onew] but I remembre that it was the memeber with a deep voice and long hair so it must be KEY.

But yeah going on about the talk/variety thing… like I said before my favorite SNSD members sunny, hyoyeon and sooyoung becaues they have the best/most interesting personalities so i don’t think it would be a bad idea for any of these three to venture into japanese variety shows… minus the language barrier (which obviously can be torn down with karaokeing and watching fun japanese media ie talk/variety shows.. which totally worked for key. well apparently snsd is super busy so i don’t know how viable this is but.. ). It’s just really different from korean talk/variety show… it has its good side and bad side.  I think it would be a good experience for them to work the japanese circuit toooooooo…

lol it’s so true… the third guy on the top is key i believe… just going by the pronounciation/intonation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRIXnYEueh4&feature=channel&list=UL

hmm key speaks english so he has an advantage.

John park && ailee

I don’t think it’s that we got hand me downs or rejects from American idol . I’m talking about john park ( love his song fallin’) here unless that other korean guy that got on american idol also debuted in korea. First of all the song choices on that show is as limited as noses on korean tv (I hope that’s a good analogy. Seriously for the love of god let’s stop plastic surgerying ourselves bc at the end of he day y’all all look the same) . But in all seriousness I heard that their choices are very limited. Like 50 songs for all the contestants and then for each contestant they can choose bt 3? I read something like that somewhere. also they have  a time limit on their performance right like 1 minute 30 seconds or 2 minutes or some shit. like how can you move anyone if you can’t sing the whole song. So by all means we are not getting rejects or handled owns from America . Just listen to the top 40 who the hell wants to be associated with that shit

thank the lord ailee did not go on american idol and that john park tried out in korea.  if she won, if he had won, they would be rotting in america like all the other american idol winners….like  mainstream singers in general. the songs are so so damn bland. same goes for the melody and lyrics and everything else that goes into a song. it’s so wasteful. I mean ailee’s kpop stuff though is boring to me but I’m sure it would be worse in america because she would ALSO be sexed up and like vulgar lyrically etc etc to the max… I can’t picture her doing that but who knows lol. Like I’m relaly glad ailee got on immotral song… I really got to know her true potentital/talent on that show. her song heaven bores me so…  john park did a good job on immortal song as well.

I was also thinking about oversinging yet again lol.

When I was listen to kindie I think I don’t really hear anyone belt stuff/reach some high note or hold some note etc etc stuff that impresses american idol viewers/mainstream music listeners…. So I was thinking if somebody who don’t know anything about kindie just asked me about and listened to it… they could say to me “oh this is boring” but besides if it’s a reall ystuck-up/ignorant-closeminded american person (THAT WHITE BOY IN THE KIDS REACT TO KPOP) they may even go as far to say that “they’re not good that singing since they don’t ~~~ like mariah carey or christina aguilera or demi lovato ( she sucks balls at singing by the way.. it’s sad when people think yelling/screaming is singing) whatever other singer that’s in the mainstream”

this is one of the reasons why i find charice so boring. she can open her mouth really big and close her eyes and hit that note and hold it for however long whatever whatever… it doesn’t change the fact it’s boring. It’s great that she sings that well and has such a powerful voice blahblah at her age but it doesn’t change the fact that i don’t find her interesting/entertaining…/ i’m not that fond of her voice (this is personal preference). I loved her when she sang telephone on glee with rachel.. i’ll give her credit where it’s due but i can see why she won’t at least for now succeed with becoming an artist.

But I was also thinking that conversely k-indie singing is HARDER than kpop in some ways because….
Emotion or feel is something that can’t be taught or faked ie taeyeon from snsd singing please vs jang jane’s rendition. (I do like taeyeon’s devil’s cry song. though that video of her lip-syncing that and fans cheering and going crazy was a little much). I mean there are some impressive notes in Kpop songs which is fine and dandy and some songs have nice even genuine emotion in them. I’m just sayin “in some ways”.

2NE1 – I love you && you & I JAPANESE

I love the lyrics for iu’s you and i. The lyrics are very japanese so in that sense i like it. I honestly don’t even know what the song is about in korean.. I know what she’s singing (the lyrics) but i never thought of the whole concept/point of the song.  but anyways it’s probably diff for the japanese v.

I like the part where they kept the ai part.

kono kimochi ai which was 그래 기묘했던 아이 in the korean version

ai = love

ai = child

I Thought it was okay for them to leave in the joa part though they romajied it to choa which i don’t know why they don’t do that since that’s not what she’s saying.

IT’s so unfortunate that she has to say the word himitsu but she can’t say  tsu in it. the word has to be himitsu….. eh maybe it’s cuter this way lol… it worked for kara.

for 2NE1 . firstly I enjoyed simon and martina’s video on that on KPOP MUSIC MONDAYS. it was funny as always. when i first heard the 2ne1 song I didn’t think much of it that it was no lonely or it hurts BUT upon listening to the song again after watching the kpop music monday video it grew on me. So I do like it.  I AGREE WITH THEM That the mouthes don’t match the song on the video. I’m thinking maybe it’s because they’re also releasing a japanese version so maybe it matches perfectly in the japanese version? i mean we won’t know till that comes but anyhoos. and from what i heard frmo that one minute thing on the news everyone’s pronunciation is iffy as always. I mean if they actually live in japan/spend time there i don’t see why their pronounciationa and intonation won’t improve. especially CL was put in a weird position. she went on shabekuri -007 with the other 2ne1 girls.

and so they know she lived in japan for 7 years or some other number but she’s not that good with speaking since she went to international school so like at this one ppart the shabekuri person said to her 長いこと and that threw her off and then she didn’t understand him. this happened to me before too NOT In real life though. tokui said on a show umai koto iku うまいこといく and I found that sentence/grammar to be intersting becasue I never came across it or heard it previously but I got the meaning. I just thought oh so you can use it like this or you can say this ooh.  but anyways after she was like looking all puzzled the shabekuri sorta acted pissed off at her (maybe for reals or maybe for tv or maybe they’re a little irritated that she didn’t understand since SHE DID live there all those years)  but all in all it’s tv so I think they just reacted like that since it’s tv. and I sorta agree with them.

anyways I like the song. IT has lots of different parts to it and i enjoy all of them except the last part with the rap/noise thing.. no thank you.

THe lyrics seem very japaense so i like it for that… I heard something something sasete which made go ahhh 🙂 in a good way.

UPDATE THE full japanese version is out and as far as i can tell the mouths don’t match here either lol.  in fact it’s the same thing just with japanaese audio?  that’s sad.. it doesn’t match either version.

on the same vein as iu i like that on 2:40 it’s te de and it matches eheh eheheh that follows.

지금 날 잡아줘요
늦기 전에 eh eheheh
WE CAN’T GO WRONG, BRING IT BACK

捕まえて愛をその手で eh eh eh

concerning their japanese….
it’s so bad. i don’t understand  why it’s so bad. like for tomenaide yo they keep stressing the wrong part.
tomenaiDEyo. did they really rush? i’m sure they have japanese singer/producer somebody there to tell them you should say it like this… on a fundamental level it should be like THIS since that’s how it is in JAPANESE.  Like for that SNSD thing time machine I found that video of hiro who actually had a part in helping the girls record the song( i later found out). so maybe the girls did take cues from his example and that’s what it turned out to be… though there’s still intonation issues it’s better than if they did it WITHOUT him?

But seriously some of the stuff is so fixable yet they didn’t…. it’s very raw as far as the japanese being off.

maybe it’s really noticeable with this song because it doesn’t have “”filter ” on the voice

when CL says shittou it sounds like she’s saying shit in english and adding on to on top of it.  It just sounds off (the intonation is opposite of what it should be) and it just kills the emotional whatever impact of the song. and to be honest I know that in japnaese there’s a lot of “shit” like the verb “shiru” going to te-form to shitte or just kanji compound verbs in general when the first kanji’s reading is “shitsu” but I NEVER Associate it with the english word SHIT. just sayin…. that’s unusual.

and yes there are parts i don’t understand just from listening to it.  i mean that’s to be expected with any kpop star just becaseu sometimes the lyrics are really f****ed with the english injected in ie boa’s songs or they’re not used t o japaense at all.

it sounds like the only time they use japnaese is to sing for the japanese single/album in other words $$$.

I guess the only thing I can wish is that they get better with their japanese. like i said before with time machine if it’s off… it’s off and it kills the emotional thing. at least they started with a korean version. as far as i know time machine is only in japanese.

well I HOPE CREAMVISIONJP or some really good japaense singer covers this song or something so it sounds more discernible.

she did a nice cover of lonely (the japanese versioN) so i can listen to it without cringing at the intonation/

anyways I’mmma listen to the korean version unless cream covers it. speaking of which,  loved the yg on air thing reeased 8-1-2012!

With that performance I finally noticed dara’s voice. she has a really interesting voice too. I never noticed till now. and i love how the guy playing the guitar is that child prodigy or whatever from the youtube. he’s so hot and old now lol.

KOREAN JAPANESE ENGLISH stuff I NOTICED

Okay so I love SISTAR’s new song just because it’s not as noisy/engrish as their previous songs. As much I loved hyorin in immortal song I could not become a fan of sistar because I couldn’t like any of the songs. but now i hvae one!

So I first watched the music video then i watched the live performance and with that i finally found out what hyorin was singing over and over again. she’s saying i’m falling down. but instead of emphasizing the fa part she emphasizes the ll part. I think there’s nothing wrong with that it’s just we usually emphasize the fa part in talking and singing. It’s interesting how she emphasizes the ll part.. I don’t know if it’s on purpose or because she doesn’t speak english but either way i like it. she’s singing so she can emphasize whatever part and all plus I do like how she sings it like that except when i didn’t have the lyrics I could not tell what she was singing.  I couldn’t even tell if it was english or korean though. lol.

HYUNA AND SDN48’s serina! 芹那

hyuna reminds me of serina from sdn48 with her voice/way she talks. maybe it’s not that similar but for some reason it remindss me of serina. maybe it’s because the way hyuna talks reminds me of the way japanese girls talk (not all japanese girls talk like that… but you know what i mean right)

here’s a yt search for serina if you don’t know her.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%E8%8A%B9%E9%82%A3&oq=%E8%8A%B9%E9%82%A3&aq=f&aqi=g1&aql=&gs_nf=1&gs_l=youtube-psuggest.3..0.9052.11754.0.12032.13.10.0.0.0.3.169.1023.6j4.10.0.

but obviously the way serina talks is really extreme… it’s like equivalent to a 6 year old even though she’s like 26.  I wish she would talk with her natural voice.

you can hear her natural voice at the beginning of this video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tgZocOmwWI

OR MAYBE it’s only because hyuna’s voice is cutesy??

OMG THIS VIDEO TOTALLY PROVES that my intuition is correct. there’s definitely something with hyuna

0:38
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfx1zx4uZKI

her voice is the least grating (everyone but hyuna sound so grating since they’re speaking Japanese with their korena voice and although hyuna is talking with her korena voice her.. her voice is different so.. it’s like an exception) out of all the members in Japanese… despite her accent. her cutesy talking matches Japanese? I wonder if that means her actual voice is deeper than the one she actually uses? since that’s what serina is doing.

If anyone else feels the way i do and would like to contribute and provide me some clarity please do.

OH AND I didn’t know what 4 minute is till recently just because i don’t care about kpop. but anyways they were being interviewed on arirang tv so they just interviewed in korean and they subbed it in english. I noticed this one girl’s voice was interesting and i was like oh it reminds me of something.. who is that? and then i realized it was serina. Then i found out that member is hyuna.  I only saw their arirang interview because I saw ailee’s arirang interview which i only saw because she went on immortal song and then i found out she’s fluent in english since she’s from new jersey.

吉高由里子 장재인 another link

THE OTHER inter-country stars between Korean and japan that are reminiscent of each other is yoshitaka yuriko and jang jane. I SWEAR if jane jane spoke japanese she would sound like yy and IF yoshitaka yuriko spoke korean she’d like JJ. woww both of them have such interesting initials.  i wonder what yoshitaka yuriko’s singing voice is like? They look sorta similar toooooooo

ONE LAST THIGN IS this korean reality tv show person who looks like tanaka..the annoying/ugly/creepy one in アンガールズ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy-gBO0Ia-8&feature=player_embedded

btw this korean tv show is boring so i don’t recommend it but anyways this discovery is just wow…

click for my short lang-8 entry in japanese regarding this discovery

탑밴드2] 데이브레이크 범퍼카..120623

omg I’m so impressed with dcaybreak. i swear i never paid attention to them in the past but i’ve really taken note of them… with their most recent album release and performances of the tracks on the 3rd album on youtube…

this is such a great performance… I love the part where it gets all slow  and drawn-out @2:58 like he’s trying to talk slow …. (isn’t it like usually  bands/singers get louder or faster or whatever during the climax or the change in tempo or whatever in the middle of the song yet they did the exact opposite yet it was climatic in every sense of that word ) . and the piano is awesome 🙂

the lead singer looks so adorable with his movements when he’s singing the drawn-out and slow part. this stuff is infectious !

the lead singer reminds me of another singer. im gonna say that is karasu’s lead singer for some reason. this band and karasu’s style is really different. but for some reason reminds me of the lead singer of karasu.. i mean i’ve yet to hear a karasu song a uppity/happy as this daybreak song and so the respective bands have different styles but i still go omg he reminds me of ___.. some of the parts when he changes the way he sings reminds me of the lead singer of karasu ESPECIALLY THE part where they slow down.

here’s a link to a karasu song if you’re curious

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YzkDRvYAzE

just in general i love the lead siger of karasu’s 鴉 voice…. b/c there’s lots of people in japaense music industry who cannot sing or sing off-key on purpose…(for reals) though i try my best to find people worthy of my time/ears and of course karasu is one of those artists. and his voice is very unique and i love it.. it has a nice feel to it like the vulnerable feel when that characteristic is required in the song.  even with the screaming i lvoe it or rather becuase he’s screaming the parts i really feel it.

sbs kpop star…. american idol ranting

Top 6.
ihai = sway ❤ is such a lovely song but I like the PCD version better actually lol. melody in pcd goes crazy at during parts of that song

e. michelle is boring. i feel no emotion…. her hairstyle this time is more flattering though.

the california guy... sang that song i love you baby blahblah lyric song which i only like becasue the original singer has a deeeep voice.  since his voice is not deep… rather it was screechy.. so noo.

bek a-yeun. saving all my love… boring 😦 I’ve heard this song way too many times. damn the oldies station!

OMG there’s a glee version. usually I don’t give a shit about the glee versions of the songs but QUINN  is singing half of it? well i only saw a 3 second clip but I love hearing her voice. i hate rachel’s voice…. it’s just so annoying after a while. glee version over this but of oourse!

blonde guy (no more acne blonde guy  so blonde guy = guy who can’t rap or sing) – yay. guy who can’t rap or sing for the win! very fun performance. you can tell he really practiced and shit… just a lot of performance with lots of people moving around.  just goes to show just because you can “tehcnically sing” doesn’t mean you’ll be half as interesting/entertaining as this kid (I’m obviously pointing at the American idol contestants) at least he understsands the concept of entertainment/performance. american idol contestants think karaoke = performance/moving/entertainment (worst misunderstanding ever). VERY FUN PERFORMANCE 🙂 JYP even gave him a 93 even though he said “the highest i’ll ever give you is 89 since you’re not good at singing/rapping” . Gotta watch his performance AGAIN!

bak jimineh. i found it to be okay. since she did that wizard of oz song last weekkkkkk obviously anything is inferior…. though i didn’t agree with their extreme compliments last weekkk… way too extreme.

my favorite performance this weeeeeeek was the guy who cannot sing or rap lol. it was a really fun/entertaining performance.

AAAAAAAAAAAAH MICHELLE IS STILL ON THE SHOW! 😦 this is so wasteful…… first the acne guy, then kim nayoon (she’s more intersting than michelle obviously just because she’s american lol),…..

they got rid of the american guy from california who speaks koreannnnnnn well (they never used english to communicate with him….). he always bores me with his song choices.

>> Of course they don’t do the American idol bullshit ie do cruel shit to the contestants ie sing for your life on this show and the judges might use the save on you RIGHT AFTER they find out they got eliminated… / wasting an hour or 30 minutes or however long just to tell us the idenity of that ONE PERSON who goes home. that shit takes 5 seconds MAX lol. but for some reason they don’t give the contestants enough time to sing the WHOLE SONG nor the judges enough time to say their FULL COMMENT/CRITICISM (their not using their brains anyway as far as i can tell from the content of their comments for the recap that i caught during the ep but… you know if they did)… but they have to time run MAD videos abt oh this is you’re journe thrououghtou american idol blahblha.they just spend their time horribly. it could be a fun hour but they make it as bland and boring and stretched and nonsensical as possible. not  to mention,  it’s the same shit every year. OH AND The korean HOST does such a better job than ryan seacrest. the korean host just talks endlessly and like feels in the gap so shit doesn’t feel awkward. he does a good job. cheers.

============

I caught a glimpse / glimpses of an american idol elimination episode. i was watching 3 or 4 things at a time of course so even then i’m sure i didn’t miss much. my comments are the following

who is jim? is twitter that pouplar now a days? what is up with j-lo. she’s 40 right? so why is she in mv’s like that. alot of body make up involved too probably? lighting can only do so much.  it just looks pathetic… like madonna. but anyways shit that pissed me off.

the girl who didn’t get voted off. she just gives off this horrible personality. maybe it was that hair accessory she had on or the fact that she was touching her hair frequently or maybe it was the fact thta i saw the recap of her performance ( horrible song by the way.. i’m not sure if even ali can save that song. I HATE THAT SONG)… but anyways she most definitely will not win.

well jimmy does do a better job than the judges at critiquing and whatnot…. j-lo/rendy/steven tyler.. they do such a horrible job as judges. they don’t give criticism nor anything constructive or descriptive wHICH does not help the contestants grow or stop being stuck up/stupid/brainless (ie that girl with a horrible personality that didn’t get voted off). there’s always room for improvement. american idol is so boring. i dont need to watch people karaoke. being a singer isn’t that easy especially if you want to become one of the good singers. modesty is required. Like I loved the scene in kpop star when somebody got eliminated and he said to the judges “oh i’m really thankful you told me what i needed to hear and not what i wantd to hear”. in the long run… you need to hear what you need to hear if you want to grow.

speak of which, there was this guy who is not very proficient in English even though he only speaks english? (he just seems like he doesn’t give a shit… in other words.. he’ll never succeed) so maybe he’s really dumb…. Ryan said to him oh are you afraid of becoming complacent since the judges always compliment you. he goes no.. i just want to be myself. i’m not gonna go around high-fiving people during my performance. All i’m thinking is… if you don’t know what complacent means you have really big problems.  this is complete bullshit. i had no idea why no one was like you don’t what complacent means?

I  ALSO HATED HOLLY… the girl who was the worst 3 or something. ryan asked her something and she was like throwing her hands up and whatnot and not really hvae much to say or anything interesting to say. I’m like this is tv can you please try a little harder than that half-hearted/half-baked shit.  personality is part of american idol… she doesn’t give a shit either? I just didn’t feel like she was acting in a way where she’s likable to the viewers.

so from the cap it seemed like teh song choices were crappy. also ,the guy who goted voted off probably looks like a past american idol contestant ( since there is only a billion seasons)… isn’t there a couple of them with that hair-type.

the other shit that pissed me off was when ryan sent this girl to the bottom of 3 and then he says right before the break okay guys so we’ll like announce the results after the break… actually he says instead of “after break” he says “after holly goes back the the couches since you’re not in the top bottom 2” or some shit like that. and i’m like FIRST OF ALL why are you wasting our time… don’t bring the bitch to the center of the stage in the first place.

the people they had perform on the show sucked balls. at first i was like oh boy band . one of them is sorta good looking… some of them are like not so i’m wondering why they’re in the bad. horrible performance…. especially when i’m used quality crap like immortal song. NM none of them are good looking compraed to the fictional band in the korean drama shut up flower boy band (don’t worry this english translation doesn’t do any justice… it sounds cool in korean)

the good part is the stage is bigger and fancier. bad part is the stage is not versatile (that’s the impression i’m getting… unless it can be versatile and they’re just not utilizing it)… to have like different sets/moods and whatnot. hell even the stage on immortal song isn’t that big or awesome but like they do shit so everyone’s performance is unique… really set the mood… really take someone to another world for 4 minutes… something that an amreican idol contestant will never do)

I have no idea why the ratings are high (they must be going down though). this shit is boring. americans need to learn a second language (and consume media is L2) already and jump ship off boring shit like this.

>>

OH WAIT I found this.

Back onstage, host Ryan Seacrest asks Phillips if he worries about complacency in his performance.

“No, I’m just being myself, dude,” the finalist responds. “I’m not trying to walk around stage and touch people’s hands and stuff. That’s just not me. I’m just having fun, man. I’m not trying to be somebody else. I’m just trying to play music.”

Ouch — that seemingly dismisses Iovine’s entire critique in a very flippant manner. But the singer would like everyone to know that he didn’t mean for his response to sound that way. Phillips posted a response on his official Facebook page the next morning (April 6), saying that he misunderstood Iovine’s comments and meant no disrespect.

“Thank you to everyone who supports me and voted this week! I appreciate it very much,” he writes. “I heard that some people took my comment the wrong way but i thought jimmy said if i dont move around i would get passed and all i was meaning that im not the artist who runs around stage touching peoples hands and sings to them, thats just not me so im sorry to who ever my have taken it the wrong way bc i wouldnt even be here without you guys voting haha thank you again!”

>> so in other words he is as dumb as i think he is or even more.  he most definitely does not understand what complacent means. actually his actions … i mean his words… just proves how complacent with himself even though he probably bores the crap out of any seasoned viewer (who’ve listened to a lot music/gone to lots of concerts etc). the fact that he even misunderstood jim like that just proves how complacent he is. next time ryan… don’t use big words with this guy. hell complacent isn’t even that difficult.

he most definitely should not win… we can’t have an idiot as our  american idol not that anyone cares. hell.. are the other contestants even decent? it’s more like who’ll put me to sleep faster with their soulless loud singing of songs i never want to hear ever again.

I mean even if for one second I would forgive him for misunderstanding JIMMY’s COMMENT by  LITERALLY moving around…. and pretend he knows what complacent means… so that would mean he thinks that moving around the stage/interacting with fans = becoming not being complacent and moving forward and becoming a better performer etc etc. no… that’s not all it’s limited to…. it also extends to the effort he would have to put in in tweeking the song, understanding the song, making the song his own, etc etc. so whether he was saying that because he understood what complacency meant and drew this asinine elementary decision or because he didn’t know what complacency meant and just said whatever shit that’s probably relevant to the word complacency… he still looks like an idiot.

I could criticize this episode more and more if i had seen more of it. but anyways the most interesting part was jimmy’s insight because unlike the judges he actually has his head screwed in and actually has brain cells and actually uses them since he’s getting paid to say shit. while jennifer lopez and randy and that rocker get paid for saying nothing…… you don’t even have to speak english that well to say what they say… it’s literally limited to 4 phrases.. so PATHETIC. the results show makes you not want to watch the original show in the first place since they show the meat of the performance and the people’s comments and criticism whether it’s read off by ryan seacrest or some other method. this show is so pathetic .

I LIKE SUNDAYS! SBS KPOP STAR

top 8 was bad-ish. i only liked the blonde guy with the bad acne. the songs in english are like… of course i’m going to compare to the originals… it’s not like I love the original songs that much anyway since they got overplayed like crazy. and yes michelle is boring again.she sings a beyonce song… no surprise thereee. all she sings is beyonce songs. i really hate all the beyonce songs she sang tooo.

the guy who is not good at rapping or singing…  was iffy but like he was more interesting than michelle, fun is good. the other guy who sang in English etc etc. the judges were harsh on him though or maybe he deserved it.  It’s just there’s nothing that really drew me in like from last week“IN THE RAIN” which was sang by the guy who got voted off this weeeeek. nothing was at the “in the rain” performance level this week :(. I’m sad because i-michelle is really boring compared to him.

ihai sang that song that i absolute hate … rihanna and her stupid repetitive never ending shallow songs.

bek ah-yeun’s was cute and good.

top 7 – I liked Ihai because she is ihai! writing it like ihai reminds me of 位牌 遺灰 which both have to do with dead people.

bek ah yeun. Sang that catchy song “can’t fight the moonlight.” it was iffy. she shouldn’t do slutty dance moves…. since she’s so younggggggggggg… well the other dancers who were doing the same dance moves as her looked provacative at times.
bad acne guy for the win! yun hung sang … at least he’s being consistent… well at least for me.
– ooh i REALLY like the guy who can’t sing or rap. It was so much fun which is what a top 7 American idol performance will never be….I love how he wrote korean rap lyrics to the song. it totally saved the song for me.  hmm I ‘ve very glad he didn’t get voted off on the top 10 episode.

I liked the song the california american-korean guy sang… there’s something wrong with the way he sings which is just bothersome everytime.

bak ji min – fly over the rainbow… smart choice. i doubt she likes the movie that much. i personally donttt. first 100 evers! JYP is really really emotive. I like seeing his face when he’s really happy. I sorta didn’t like the wailing part but whatevs .each to his/her own.

I think it was this episode or the one before but jyp’s look was WAY TOO MUCH…. jyp in the VTR.

So far I liked the top 9 episode best? out of the eps from the top10.

I was like OMG GET RID OF E>MICHELLE!!!!!!!!!! UGGGGGGGGGGGGGH she’s bored me with every single performance. I’m so sad the bad acne guy went home 😦  instead of her.
