Since iron leaguer, I finally had time to watch another anime. I have lots more anime on my 무anime too-many-to-watch list including other sports anime. i also have the same thing with j-dramas, american dramas, music. When I Was watching iron leaguer, I was watching love shuffle at the same time. This time I was watching suzuki sensei and battle athletes victory and let me say anime 2, drama 0 by a landslide (p.s. the manga drawing in suzuki sensei is horrendous ! I don’t even read manga but i can tell it’s shit ) . I’ll write more about suzuki-sensei when i finish which may be next year or this year. I’ve gotten to episode 15 of battle athletes victory daiundoukai. That Episode was amazing… it was shocking and there so much emotion, thoughts and events… I was trying to figure out what’s going inside this one character’s head because the situation is complicated with all the information revealed in the episode.  I still am unsure of what thought process the character had and everything. Maybe I’ll find out later in the show or somebody online will have some insight.  of course I had to re-watch the scenes for that episode. There’s this amazing song in the episode (aw man it’s differnt. the song in the episode had no vocals i like that better… i don’t see another version in the ost!!! uggggggggh), there was also another great song (I can’t find it in the ost sob sob 😦 it’s a great song ) in that same episode with a violin which I haven’t found in the ost yet. it was so well-done with the emotions.  for me, especially in the new anime the “emotional” stuff feels very contrived especially with the crappy drawing style where they care more about being moe or cute or pretty than actually drawing characters with depth and personality (I just think it limits the individuality of the characters when they start obessessing making them cute and moe. it reminds me korean plastic surgery, everyone looks the f’in same. i wouldn’t say they’re pretty. some of them look like aliens. others just look the same and i just think they’re complete idiots. INDIVIDUALITY IS GREAT).  i found the scenes in the episode touching…. for fruits basket it always felt like i had to force myself to feel empathetic or get into it and it ‘s always a sob story that seemed to be only made to make people sob? So basically fruits basket suck with the exception a couple episodes. don’t get me started on clannad or kanon which are shit. I really am glad to have seen an anime episode that is so genuine and real. it’s  goosebumps level!!! obviously episode 15 couldn’t have been episode 15 without episodes 1-14. that’s what I call quality!!! kiss my ass 13 episode anime that suck (there are ones that are good but lots of ’em just SUCK)

So first I must comment on the OST and sound effects and voice acting.

The OST is good and I liked it. truth be told it is hard to reel viewers into a sci-fi /future anime without good bgm… It really sets the atmosphere since the anime is set in the future and has its own world going on that’s different from ours. That’s what I love about anime… it’s well-done and fun to watch that I  was absorbed and in that world when I was watching it. I almost feel guilty like I’m a loser for ignoring the real world since i’m watching this anime instead of xyz in the real world lol. but at the same time the people who made it achieved an amazing feat of luring in viewers into the “anime” world they created (not all anime achieve this. when they don’t my reaction this shit is lame or this shit is boring). the only way they’re going to make the viewers “believe” it is to WORK THEIR ASSES off and have passion. I almost feel like it’s a slap in the face to the creators for me to not watch this great piece of work. I really have to see if there’s any interviews or anything like that online. similar to iron leaguer with my piqued interest. Overall, I would say that rather than feeling guilty I feel happy that I had the opportunity to see a GOOD ANIMe and in japanese (I did work hard/spend a lot of enjoyable time in japanese) that is so enjoyable because there’s a lot of shitty anime out there. Without good OST there’s no way you can take a show seriously. there’s no way you’ll get into it, in other words “believe it” . The songs matched and set the world and made me believe it and become engaged. A couple of the BGM Songs i really liked so when they repeated it I was glad to hear it. I mentioned before with the songs on tepisode 15… those 2 particular songs as far as I remember came up for the first time in episode 15 and i haven’t seen the rest so i don’t know if they’ll be used again but that particular song that i linked is called slum spiritual song which was specifically made for Jessie. It seems like they put in a lot of effort into the OST like not recycling songs like crazy or having only a a very small selection of bgm songs.

I like all the voice actors. akari’s voice is sorta annoying but whatevers. I really like some of the casting like the russian girl and jessie and chris. anna’s voice was eh. there were a bunch of “crying acting” that I thought was AMAZING> usually in dramas and in anime it gets melodramatic or awkward or dragged-out. but here I felt the emotions the characters were going through. I believed it. It was sincere without a doubt….. the reasons behind the crying scenes themselves were “real” and the voice actresses pulled through. Of course i’m not referring to akari here….

So the x-factor aka the anime factor is one of the reasons why sports anime are so good. it’ll be set in the future or whatever but for whatever reason they always surprise me. with real-life sports or even sports dramas you prettty much know all the boundaries and possibilities of the plot/game developments (they can stilll have their twists and be shocking by all means) but with anime there is none because it’s the future or it’s robots… you really don’t know x is possible until you see it unfolding on the show.there seems to a bunch of sports anime that aren’t fansubbed or not fansubbed completely or not licensed that look REALLY good… and i have access to it now since the japanese barrier is not there anymore lol plus i got my chiebukuro. anime has an upper-hand or at least more to work with compared to other mediums when it comes to stuff that’s sci-fi, set in the future, involves robots, involves sports etc etc in my opinion. I strongly felt that with this anime and Iron Leaguer.

I also really want to check out the ova because i enjoyed the series so much (what i’ve seen of it thus far). it came out before the series so it’s not like iron leaguer where it came out after the show … so hopefully it won’t be completely disappointing. i know i shouldn’t expect too much from 6 episodes. 26 episodes… wow you can get A LOT accomplished… I must say it’s a goood number. I’m on episode 15 and man a lot of shit happened! i can tell there’s a reason they’ve stuck with this number since a long time ago. I have no idea why they make 13 episode anime now a days. it’s like they’re not even trying or want to screw themselves over. one of the things that compels me to say that is the midou tomoe thing. so the first 10 times they mentioned her i was like i don’t get what’s so special about her with the gasping and the reactions etc. then the 11th time etc i find out more about her amazing accomplishments and other info and I finally realize that wow she IS AMAZINg… people are reacting like THAT for a reason. I didn’t really get it till later on. I don’t know if that was the creators’ intent or if it’s the way I perceived it as a “slow” or “unreceptive” viewer .  At some point maybe episode 10 or 11 it got so interesting i watched 5 eps in one a day. if i had time right now i would go and finish the rest in one day or something! it’s a lot of fun.

OH AND LIKE I SAID with iron leaguer this gets EXCITING AND INTENSE. I hate how some people think sports anime are boring and blahblah just because they saw a couple shitty ones made after 2000 + something. maybe there are good sports anime made after 2000+ I wouldn’t know myself… i just know it’ll be a long time till i watch any of those lol since i have a long ass anime list and i’m watching in the order of what i think will be the most fun, exhilarating, and worth watching. like i said before there’s a lot that aren’t fansubbed or available or whatever and i’m sure there’s gems among there.  it’s one of the huge reasons i hate the OLD ANIME VS NEW ANIME ARGUMENT.

COMEDY – it’s on the money. It’s funny. it’s right up my alley.  they have a great sense of humor and the characters’ awesomeness propel the comedy higher. Unlike iron leaguer comedy is a more major component of this show and so we got to see serious characters react with the goofy anime reaction face at one point or another. that was priceless. similar to iron leaguer, it has yuri which is the yaoi counterpart lol. I would say shoujo-ai more than yuri because the show can be watched by kids…  there’s nothing really inappropriate in this show.

So what I absolutely despise with 1-shtik one night stand episodes with anime and drama is that it feels contrived and boring and fake (they’re usually the filler episodes)…. and I have to force myself to be sympathetic to try to connect. You know those episodes where it focuses around 1 character whether it’s a side-character or some random “guest” character that you’ll probably only see in that episode and there’s a message or moral to the story but it feels shallow and lazy ESPECIALLY when it’s NAMIDA CHOUDAI ie sob story. somebody bawling or they expect the viewer to bawl at this cheap ass set-up. the INTENT IS REALLY OBVIOUS. The set-up is really simple and obvious and I sorta feel offended as a viewer. with this show when they do stuff with characters ie episode 15 or the episode with ayla it’s real. they don’t ignore the characters and then focus on them for 1 whole ep and then expect you to be moved like certain other animes (that’s what I mean the cheapness…. my inability to connect. and by doing that it just shows how lazy they are). they give each one exposure here and there in a bunch of episodes and then give a majority of a later episode to a specific character. it seems well-planned out that they’re not completely ignoring x y characters and then focus almost the whole episode on x character and expect me to care.

I love 90s animation. I love the cell animation. I love seeing all the different things they devised to show intensity, speed, a certain emotion, etc etc. there’s a lot of things that have to be portrayed on the show animation-wise especially since it’s set in the future and they have sports. i think they pulled it off. like I said before I “believed” it. in general I really dislike how the animation nowadays seem “watered-out”/down? sterile? … it’s because it’s not cell. I was reading about it in japanese as to why does it look so cheap, not as detailed, and no effort and all that now all days. some anime remind me of eroge and moe shit lol. by all means I like the suzumiya haruhi animation and other shows that are from the 2000s. there’s lots of things they do really well now-a-days wth the technology but there are things you cannot do without cells (especially the “feel” with the colors and depth? in japanese they called it  薄い I THINK). i’m not saying they should bring it back or anything like that. I juts really like the color scheme/feel that occurs with the cell animation. http://cosmoneapolitan.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-92.html

(there’s more links but this is all i got now ) that was another reason I really enjoyed watching thsi show. I just love 90s animation.

One thing that bothered me with the animation was there were times it’s not as well animated ie when they showed the girls walking in their uniforms and their legs were like 2 thick blocks and the skirts were mad short and we didn’t see underwear lol (it’s not like i want them to draw underwear… it was just that short… the animation just looked awkward )…  there were scenes that weren’t as well-animated as the other scenes… but you know they gotta do something to save the budget for the more important scenes. the お約束の作画崩壊 is one of those things that we expect from 90s animation lol… it’s interesting imo and sorta don’t mind because it is funny and so real but if it’s too much it’s bad lol… ideally you don’t want any.

I love the character designs too. i love the differnt uniforms, chris’s design especially (the eye color and hair color! ) and i liked her uniform that was a short dress or short skirt) you can’t have good characters without character design period. you can’t have good anime without a good ost. nuh-uh. p.s. chris’s hairstyle is god-awful in the ova lol.

AS FAR AS THE MAIN TOPIC IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE JAPANESE. what i did this time was different from iron leaguer since my korean did improve and my japanese improved since then.

since it’s from the 90s so the resolution is 4 by 3. so i made the kmplayer 16:9 and then loaded the subs vertically on the side so it doesn’t cover up any animation. I left the subs in korean. I didn’t translate it to japanese. when i was watching it most of the time I relied on my ears and listen for the japanese. sometimes i read the korean (quickly) and listened to the japanese. i use the korean to note down lines that i’m unsure or have no idea what my ears heard so i can go back and have an easy time at only looking at the parts where i want to look into. it’s a lot easier then pausing, moving the mouse, writing g down the minute: second.

I wanted to share the lines i got from the for ep 1-15 in case anyone else wants to learn japanese from this anime. I asked on chiebukuro a lot since there were lines i could not catch or i was unsure of and wanted to confirm that i’m right. some lines i just liked so i jotted them down (so it’s not like i wasn’t able to catch allll these lines that are in the .txt but i must say some of them are damn hard to catch or i didn’t know the word so there’s no way i could’ve figured it out – by all means there are times where i figure it out even though i don’t know the word. generally, probability of me figuring out what i’m hearing goes down if i don’t know the word vs. if i know the word) . i added a bunch of those words and lines to my anki.

anime is a great source for learning japanese. like i said with iron leaguer it’s really feasible to remember stuff SYLABBLE PER SYLLABLE (which is reallllllly good and helpful for really remembering/feeling/learning the language) because i’m  invested and engaged with the show and the line might be dramatic or significant in some way.. the seiyuus do a great job. that’s definitely another reason. happy learning! ❤

my only warning is that some episodes have the timing to include the OPENING but most of them are the timing WITHOUT THE OPENING. you gotta do 1:30 + _- dpeneding on your video  file.

– also they come with japanese explanations and definitions. some of the explanations i didn’t ask for but the person included in their chiebukuro answer anyway so i just pasted the whole thing. if you need it read it, if you don’t, don’t.

the .txt file works. the mediafire preview sucks balls! it includes all the lines i couldn’t catch so if there’s lines that are not here that you can’t catch then it’s probably easy to catch lol and you should try listening again or ask on chiebukuro like me and piss off japnaese people lolz.

the episode previews were taken from a blog that somebodoy runs where they only wrote down the lines from the episode previews! thank god somebody did it lol some of it is mad hard to catch.

here’s the gifs and a couple screenshots i took.

p.s. wats up with thse random people liking and following me. those peple that obviously are doing hat in the hopes that i go to their blog and follow the mback.. it sure as hell doesn’t look like they’d be interested in any of my entries and i sure as hell am not interested in their blog…. it’s to get my attention?? so i follow ’em? i don’t get it. no.. get lost.

追追伸 I will update once I finish the show with more lines and thoughts!!

there’s more in the .rar since tumblr sucks lol.

– I don’t really agree necessarily with the listen/watch episode twice for the sake of improving your japanese comprehension. if the show or episode is so good that it’s just as fun it not more fun to watch it again, i don’t mind but if it’s not at that level i’m not doing that!  even so just because you watch it a 100 times doesn’t mean you’ll understand and catch everything that came out of the characters’/people’s mouths (watching it multiple times will improve your comprehension of course but not to 100% depending on the media)…. I know that i will never (not never but a whole lot later) be able to catch what they say with some of the lines no matter how many times i listen to it or think about the context or the characters etc…. hence  i ask on chiebukuro to save myself time from listening to something 15 times and still not being able to catch it. i recognize the fact that my ears aren’t as japanese as a japanese person’s lol… the words and the sounds sorta elude me sometimes. some days i have a bad day. some days i have a good day. sometimes it doesn’t matter what day it is, i just can’t catch it. you’ll notice some of the stuff i have in my .txt isn’t realy difficult or uncommon japanese necessarily but i just couldn’t catch it (of course I also have lines that i wrote down myself just because I liked the line)  a tip to people learning from anime. get the high quality file with the high quality audio. that is a factor to even to natives

Korean i cannot stand and will never use and cringe if i ever hear it being used.

✖ I was gonna write korean slang instead of korean but i don’t know if all of them are slang or how slangy they are or the demographic/gender/sexual orientation/ whatever else that can or cannot use it. i don’t really care to research lol.

some of these i learned from eat your kimchi because they have this awesome series going on with teaching slang. I like it but the only thing that ticks me off is that suzy does more work than the American girl with the guessing part. The Korean girl explains what she thinks it means by giving examples in ENGLISH while the American girl for the most part just uses English to give examples or guesses… I just find that to be lazy and unlikable. I hope she tries harder to use/speak Korean when it’s necessary. Obviously the best way to learn Korean is through KOREAN AND NOT ENGLSH. ANYWAYS, Korean slang is one of those things that is impossible for Korean learners to pick up just from immersion i would think… you just need to hear the meaning or explanation or whatever.  hell they don’t even use kanji so… we’re S.O.L. Afterwards I googlged to see if there’s other ones that seems useful or cool but i’m just come to the conclusion i really hate some of the slanggggggggggggg. even if i read the word, the definition, example sentence, etc doesn’t stick. of course that’s to be expected since real life encounters ie tv show or whatever is going to make it memorable. It’s not guaranteed either but it’s definitely more memorable then just some sentence, example, meaning shtick. So i’m not gonna google and learn about slang by searching Korean slang in japanese. imma deal with it as i encounter it. slang or not, they’re both unknown vocabulary so.,.. i’m sure some japanese person wrote about it on the interwebs.

– this word pisses me off lol. the first time i heard it  i could not tell if it meant something GOOD or something BAD. i could tell it was something extreme as in extremely awful or extremely awesome. if a korean person were to use it in front of me and that was  the first time I heard it i’m pretty sure i would’ve leaned towards the bad meaning and think they’re talking shit about me or someone lol. that’s one of the reasons i dont ‘like this word… that first encounter/impression. i just have no desire to use this word and i hope this word fades and people stop using it.  seriously what in the f is 짱이야. it sounds so dumb.  The word itself doesn’t sound pleasant. I would just use whatever words in hanja that means the same thing even if it’s a yojijukugo than this word. I hate this word!

박  – first time i heard it,i couldn’t infer the meaning. once i found out the meaning and i familarized myself with the word i noticed that it’s used a lot. i had an inkling the word came from 爆発 폭발 but that’s not possible because the KOREAN PRONOUNCIATION OF BAKU is pok. I thought of like 大爆発的人気… but like i said that’s not the reading. i have no desire to use it whatsoever. i don’t have as much irritation towards this word as the first one.  Same as the above, use whatever word based on the Chinese characters that means the same thing instead.

I made the font sizes different like tha ton purpose. if you know why i did it, yo know you know! but if you don’t then you need to learn to your kanji or hanja or whatever. but i have no proof that it is based on that character but i would think so…. as i mentioned before. but i don’t care if it is or not. im’ not wasting my time researching that crpa. i have OTHER STUFF TO RESERACH AND LISTEN OR HEAR OR EXPERIENCE ETC.
간지 – this one is especially wtf and ew.. kanji to ganji. it reminds me of 雁字搦め! but anyways umm kanji does not mean stylish or good. it just means feeling. if the japanese people wanted to say good we’d say いい感じ which is numerously used and abused by RO-RA. the way they use it is 간지가나다 which does not work in japanese but it doesnt ‘ matter becaues this is korean and it’s just korean slang that came from japanese.  i don’t like this slang. it’s just dumb to me since i know japanese but even if i didn’t i would find it dumb finding out that kanji means kanji.  of course i don’t want to use it. it’s just as awful as the english abuse in japanese ie FURENDORI, KEA, OBURA-TO, YU-MOA, DA-KU, just look at ANY ANY JAPANESE KPOP SONG for the massacre of the english language. (ie the new snsd song. their pronounciation is still eh… you could tell a diff between sooyoung vs everyone else with the level. but you know half the song is in english in other words really gibberish. so it’s not that noticeable maybe?????? from this song the person next best soundingfrom japanese prnounciation point of view is sunnnnnnny ( p.s. sunny’s japanese aegyo sounds mad fluent lol) , then yoona lolz. tiffany is out because she sings/speaks so much english. seohyun sounds choppy? it sounds like the thing in piano where you put on an accent on all the notes. it’s just not good.   yuri is screwed because she has to say zettai -it sounds like the typical korean person pronounciation. taeyeon sounds like she’s singing phonetically like she can’t read hiragana/kanji for her life?? as in she don’t understand japanese… at lesat that’s what is sounds like…. she has trouble sounding emotional in general so i guess once tehre’s more challenges like japnaese, having to sound powerful, at the same timemamkes it even worse i guess. half the members i can’t even tell if their japanese has really improved or anything because some members get screwed with the lines that has certain sounds that korean people usually pronounce in a certain way which serves as a dead giveaway. screwed isn’t the term i should use but that’s just what it is. ). in general, in japanese SOMETIMES they literally use difficult english that i don’t even know lol… it’s not even the katakana thing, i literally just do not know the meaning/person /thing they are referring to in english.

OMG POP QUIZ wtf is yuri ssinging @ 1:35

ぜったいはなぜなの 宝石のような目

実態は謎なの 宝石のような目で

don’t worry it’s not because your japanese sucks… it’s a korean prson singing in japanese of cours eyou can’t catch it. I love yuri though. don’t worry.

– i fuckin depise this word. so the first time i heard of it was on hangukdrama and she was explaining what it means and how she encountered it in some drama or whatver. i hate the sound of this word I HATE THE way people pronounce this word (every frikin’ variation. Of course that ONE VARIATION irritates more than the others. Of course it’s not difficult to surmise which one that is seeing as I’ve used the word dumb a lot so far), i hate the meaning of this word, i hate the way it’s used, i wish all the videos and blog entries that explain people when and how to use this phrase would all get deleted!! i just hate this

word. it’s so dumb and irritates me. i don’t get the appeal of looking like an idiot, hearing an idiot, looking at an idiot etc. that’s all I associate with this word. i hope it disappears or at least people stop using it and reflect on it and come to the same conclusion i have.

The closest thing I can explain my feelings towards this word through english would be like the word ‘durrr” you know that sound or pose or  whatever people make when they impersonate mentally retarded people. that’s what is reminds me of & that’s part of the reason I hate the word. not because I hate mentally retarded people or when people make fun of thos epeople. that’s the specific, exact, pin-point reason…. is what i’m saying. the korean word is just dumb to me.  i don’t want to listen to lame elemtnary crap no more. i’m over that shit a billion times over. i was over it when  IWAS IN elemntary school and i sure as hell am over it now.

I just find these words LAME L-A-M-E.

one thing that sorta irks meis japanophile/koreanophile behaviro.  i undersatnd liking something or loving it or whateverbut sometimes it just seems so forced or fake or whatever. i suppose the reason i’m so open and vocal about korean stuff that irritates and irks me is because i’m Korean. I don’t treat korea as something special like the best place in the world or best language in the world or anything. because of english, japanese, korean, i don’t look at any of those languages as special or get a mystified feeling from them. i don’t treat them special at all. Honestly I don’t know how i would feel about the slang if let’s say i lived in korea for the past 10 years or so…. maybe i would be using them or feel neutral about it just because i would only know korean?  i just feel hostile about the slang as of now. i’d rather be feeling hostile about it then only know korean and not notice how annoying some things are in korean. that’s the drawback/benefit of knowing multiple languages. if i only knew korean some stuff in korean that ibitch about on my blog would have never been bitched about because i would only know korean, i wouldn’t have anything to compare it to. it’s not like korea is completely isolated  with the internet and the year but knowing languages and watching some foreign media with subs is completely different.

I hope these words/phrases fade so people can actually employ vocab i mean korean is enough of a mess as it is with the lack of kanji knowledge. I just don’t like popular phrases/words promoting idiocy and banality? Like in japanese if you listen to high school girls  all they say is ukeru, majide, ttsutta, yabai. chou etc. It’s really not that hard to sound like a Japanese high school girl so if you’re a girl and you’re learning Japanese and you need an easy goal to reach choose sounding like a japnaese girl (of course find harder goals after you reach this goal). It only takes like 5 minutes to learn all the phrases/words lol. They use those select FEW A LOT!!!  Maybe the intonation will take longer but as far as the vocab it’s not that hard as far as the braindead high school girls are concerned. there’s just such a lack of vocab and meaningful communication. it’s like that with enlgish too i passed by this white girl talking on her phone and all i heard was “LIKE, AND THEN I WAS LIKE, and then she was liek, then like, like like like. Of course the way she said all that was brain-numbing as well. it was just so brain rape. I just don’t really like that culture?? trend? whatever you call it.  that is one of the reasons i don’t like the phrases i mentioned in korean. mostly it’s because they just sound so dumb or annoying or whatever. This reminds me, there was this guy on mtv’s true life who uses the word literally literally a 1000 times a day. every other word is literally. i’m just like wtf?  it was so irritating.

there’s other slang or contemporary korean that i’ve heard or learned about that i’m okay with. not sure if i want to use due to my lack of understanding of the phrase/culture/whatever but it’s not like the ones i mentioned where i do not want to hear it or use it. i know how awkward and WEIRD it can be when people use slang when they don’t really get the culture or the language ie the kid in my high school who wore some shirt with a picture of a tree stump and the phrase “got wood?” to him it’s just an innocent shirt about trees. how is he supposed to know that heshould consult urbandictinoary or google before purchasing that item of clothing. there was only no smartphones in that era btw.  or maybe there was if blueberries count. besides my fear of situations like this,  i just don’t like being misunderstooooooooood by using unfamiliar words ESPECIALLY slanging.  i know some people may actually be exorbitantly aggressive with using slang  or whatever in their target language to feel cool or whatever but those people usually suck at whatever language they learn and do lame shit like upload videos to youtube. OMG THOSE VIDEOS PISS ME OFF. THEYR’E LIKE NIHONGO NO RENYUU WO SURU TAME NI DOUGA WO TSU TSUTSUTSTUSKURITAI TO OMOIMASHITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. It’s like no d00fus, go do something more CONSTRUCTIVE like cleaning your face properly. No one wants to listen to your crappy Japanese, and obviously this is not an effective way to do it. I’m pretty sure they do it to read the comments saying sugoi, nihongo jouzu whatever and so they can reply ieie, mada mada desu or tondemonaidesu. Or to answer stupid comments like how do you learn Japanese? With their ineffective learning methods. There’s ajatt, tae kim, tofugu’s wanikani and that other thing, and google, and really brilliant language forums, no nobody cares about you and your shitty Japanese.  And no I don’t care if you want to become a translator your English sucks as it is how the hell are you going to translate?  I have a very very strong hatred towards the people that go I learn Japanese to learn Japanese or I learn Japanese to translate japanesese because I want to make xyz available especially if they say  bullshit like that and watch shitty anime or play shitty porn games. Those people are the worst and they will suck at Japanese for the rest of his or her. It’s mostly going to be the former  obviously.

p.s. i hate listening to korean dialect.. it sounds so uneducated and it is so than difficult to catch then normal korean because the intonation is all over the place at lesaet that’s what it sounds like. even if i concentrate it’s just a hopeless losing battle lol. That is why I cannot stand that guy that’s this popular mc that speaks with this dialect. I know Korean people have no problem catching/understanding him but I do and it irritates me. It’s like sand slipping between my fingers. It’s juts one of those feelings of frustration. It’s not even like iwant to understand him because he doesn’t really say anything that interesting or significant as much the f(x) special effects want me to be duped into thinking that. DAMN IT why are they so DAMN obnoxious and persistent. It doesn’t change the fact that whatever the person said isn’t that funny or interesting. It just makes Koreans look bad because it looks like we laugh at shit as in unfunny/insignificant shit. I wish I would have better googling skills in Korean to read Korean people bitching about Korean tv but I cannot. But anyways, if you are and you found those blogs that I want to read bitching about what I bitch about then share! I’ll gladly put in the effort to understand the blog by looking up words, chiebukuroing, google translating, etc etc which  is step one step forward in my korena learning journey.
beginners shouldn’t use slang anyway soo… my position is good, no? 😀

and if you know of any Korean slang that is popular and useful (as in not something that’s not likely to disappear. I mean you can’t predict the future but you do have your judgment prowess) that you think I’ll just love and want to hear/use then feel free to educate me. If you have any doubts that I might despise it like the ones I mentioned then don’t’ mention it. I will bite. 噛み付きたいのか、噛みきたくないか!!!
akb kyouwakoku ♥

sorta have a feeling of accomplishment for writing something significantly long. usually it’s short and that sorta bothers me.

It’s almost like this picture is the gif that people use to express their feelings on tumblr. i hate those poeple (tumblr bitches!! ) and i hate those posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the posting of these screenshots are random… i don’t put them in a certain order or after a certain thought or whatever. it’s just random. it just happeened to sorta match what i wrote above it. but anyways i hate those tumblr people. can’t you just use YOUR WORDS and your brain instead of wastingall this time searching, saving, posting, gifs to express your thoughts. talk about regression and inefficient and annoying. i understanding using a gif once in a while that you just happen to have in your reach. but the epople that use 10 or 5 gifs to describe thow they felt at x moment are just like??? i dont’ get those people. can they get a job or feed the homeless? they piss me off.

but in actuality the picture of yahagi does not match what i wrote because i know the exact situation he made this face and i know what he was feeling and everything. whati’m feeling with the sorta feel bad is nothing compared to what he was feeling. so that’s another reason i don’t like the tumblr gifs because they really do not know how the person in the gifs feels or know the actual situation or the sequence of events that led to that OR what their describing is nowhere near the magnitude of the emotion that is in the gif. it just makes me want to scream STOP BEING A DAM NDRAMA QUEEEN … it’s almost like slander where they take stuff out of context for the celebrities..

another one THAT I CANNOT BELIEVE I DIDN’T MENTION WAS FIGHITN. SORRY that was a typo. i meant PAITING. I will nevre say this. i do not even want to mention it in my post just for the sheer fact that now i’m associated with this god-awful english butchering korean word that just won’t dieeeeeeeeeeeee. I was sorta surprised when tiffany and jessica from snsd were using the word pie-ting rather proactively. by that  imean the times they used this word as opposed to something else. i just figured since they’re so american that they would feel some sort of rejection reaciton/feelings towards it since it’s so lame. what are the alternatives anyway?? i wouldn’t know because they use this word a lot.
oh wait up. assa? him-ne? what’s wrong a plain PLAIN  HIM-NE. is that too much to ask??? i agree him-ne is pretty old and you don’t hear it much and so there must be something else u can use besides him-ne.
I hate this word for so many reasons. it makes no sense. it’s gramatically wrong. it makes koreans look bad. it looks like we can’t pronounce the letter f. i believe we can, we just don’t because it’s not in our alphabet hence the word kuh-pi for coffee and pur-ra-whore for flower etc. Like the other ones I just find it LAME.

I think this is one of the first words in korean that made me say WHY THE FUCK DO YOU USE IT.

so I encountered this in the 4minute song. I don’t like the song.  I like the heart to herat better since it’s more melodious. I looked it up to find out what it means and if you can use it on males as well. I don’t have any feelings of hatred towards this phrase like the other ones i’ve mentioned. i just find it weird. I don’t really get it. like your water? that’s asll it is to me. i definitely don’t want to use it as of now. I just don’t get. I might after hearing it being used by other people in other situations. but as of now i just feel completely estranged from this phrase with its meaning of course. the phrase is totally understandable by anyone who took korean 101.

asking people on chiebukuro about the korean in them videos

this video features 2 ex- video game addicts… it’s in korean and everyone’s korean lol.

I just find this topic interesting? of interest for me? sorta like with the hikkikomori thing. to some extenti just don’t undersatnd especially with my language learning interest. like i go OMG WTF  you do that? you could use that teim to reach converstaional level in x-language or watch x tv shows…. that’s my way of thinking. so because I just cannot comprehend it  i just want to find out more about it. I really feel like this show goes into details and the depth of the situation because the 2 ex-game addicts are  talking for 47 minutes. it’s just a lot OF MEAT. none of the videos in english really go into depth… it’s just very shallow….. obviously it can only go deep if you have 2 ex- game addicts talking talking.

I don’t know if there’s a good medium for asking people to transcribe what people said in korean for korean-learners for english but for ajapense it’s pretty good… like there’s chiebukuro.

Like I said in my previous post. i’ll watch an interesting program in korean on youtube or bayflie korean or something and then write down time codes? of the line the i couldn’t catch so i can ask people on chiebukuro hey what’d they say. I don’t do this for every word because it becomes laborious and it depends on how much i give a crap too lol. and actually my korean is pretty good as in the ratio of I don’t know/ I do know is really good for learning via this. I don’t want to overestimate or anything but let’s say like 80% undersatnd/ 20% don’t undersatnd. It’s something like that so it’s definitely like a limbo like if i just keep watching without looking up words or also reading korean articles or korean books then i most likely will be stuck at this level forever. I reached this level from looking up words in the FIRST place. but at this point it’s like even if i don’t look it up i’m probably not missing out that much? the key word is PROBABLY.  But anways from looking up the words… after I look it up I put it in anki and i see it and may or may not remember the definiton. I don’t put in the sentence because I feel like that’s cheating. so i just put in the unconjjugated verb/adjetive etc. but anki is just not effective because it’s used for EXTENDING your memory NOT forming your memory. definitely waching korean shows is more helpful than doing anki reviews. nonetheless some of the cards are extending my memory and some of them are brute-shove into my brain (not really since i just do my reviews lightly)… sometimes I can’t predict which ones will go into the latter… because when i look it up in that moment as i watch the show light bulbs go off and i go OOOH that makes so much sense or whatever but then a week later in my anki review I’ll be like wtf is this shit lol. so context and immersion is deinitely the best.  I guess I wouldn’t be doing anki at all if iall  did was watch korea nshows but unfortunately or fortunately i watch mad japanese shit lol.

I think I wrote about this before but i went from (this is not thourough)

start learning japanese → suck at learning japanese → found ajatt → ignored ajatt → found ajatt again → learned from song lyrics found awesome japanese stuf i love like music and also tv shows from youtube  → did rtk → read japanese books/watch japanese tv etc etc → got pretty damn good with japanese (I don’t speak it fluently though of course but my intonation is GOOD) → started korean (I felt like I don’t learn much from japanese tv talk /variety. I still do to this way it’s just i learn less than i used to before)

now the reason for this hooplah is so that learning the kango words in korean will be HELL OF A LOT EASIER.  I also discovered immortal song from youtube and I just thought wow what  agreat show and amazing performances.  I remember the first time I watchd it, it was a struggle like as far as understanding everything (the talking part of the show, not the singing part) the lines that the MC ALWAYS SAYS in every episode rather fast or wahtever just went over my head (now i have no problem following tha tsince i’ve heard it so many times and looked itup the first time. but then since he says it eveyr peisode i was like i should’ve just not looked it up lol). I didn’t recognize the kango words that i already know in japanese because yo know the readings are sorta different. so anyways from looking up words from this show and reading stuff in korean I picked up on the kango readings for korean… for most? of the top 2000 hanja kango reading to the point of recognition (It was just a gradual chill process… I don’t really care about korean like I do with japanese so it’s very slow and relaxed and just chill). I don’t speak korean lol.

and also along the way I looked up and learned some daily convresational korean.. as in words and adjectives that are used in daily convresational korean. why do i know it’s actually useful and used because I heard it from a korean person on a korean tv show talking about their lives and i looked it up.  so after I find the meaning i realize why this word is USEFUL in the sense that it’s used in daily life so i will most likely see or hear it again to describe something that happened when somebody talks about whatever. It’s absolutely TRUE! I’ll look up a word and then it gets used and I go omgs i know what that means and the kanji and all that because I looked it up before and i heard it being used again. that’s what’s happening as i watch the video i’m watching now as well as other videos. that’s the awesomeness of common, daily conversation language in korean or japanese orenglish or whatever.  It makes you feel like it’s so effortless because even if you don’t get it (remember it, internalize it)  the first time, you most likely will the second time. I remember looking up so much crap /not looking up crap for the snsd show dangerous boys . you don’t undersatnd i didn’ tknow all the useful daily conversaitonal common korean at that time but i learned that korean from that show. it’s like that chicken and the egg argument. you can either try to drill as much korean from books or some anki deck and then hope that you’ll understand some native korean tv show fluently (NEVER IN A BILLION YEARS) OR you watch the korean show look up the crap you don’t undersatnd and keep watching and they will most likely use the words that you looked up time and time again.  the drilling people i do not understated.

so anyways I found this video so interesting how the guys are just talking talking.  I hate how in american talk shows they don’t let the guests talk… the host always has to say shit and the crap they say is crap that everyone has on their minds (it does not need to be said, everyone is ALREADY aware.) or they say something to emphasize something that again we ALREADY are aware of… i guess they treat the audience like idiots (those are americans for you lol) and or they love hearing their own voices (the talk show hosts). another factor is … maybe korean people are juts more articulate than the average joe american lol… so the guests can hold up their end of their conversation and articulate their thoughts and memories so well to the point that the talk show host or whoever has to interrupt and ask questions very minimally in comparison to american talk shows.

and you know if I didn’t know korean i wouldn’t know about the existence of this video and be able to gain their insights especially the part about the “withdrawal”?? very very shocking and very enjoyable ( as in entertaining and enlightening.. i feel like i’m gaining something from watching it) video and i wanted to share and sorta to also document my  level/progress and also possibly have other korean learners go omg why you so much better than me (give them motivation, rivalry thoughts) or maybe there are korean learners who are better than me and have no absolutely no vocab to learn from this video at all or was able to catch everything that was said in the video ( I think it’s possible for korean learners to reach that level, they ain’t talking about rocket science)… good for them.  🙂

I will post the chiebukuro crap once people answer!

omg I  was missing out some crucial details about the withdrawal syndrome!!! that’s why i like chiebukuoring 🙂

I love how in english, japanese, and korean there are multiple meanings to a word but the meanings are sorta similar … like you could use one meaning to remember the other meanings…. this stuff is especially heavy in korean so do take advantage of LITERAL meaning in korean to remember the intended or inferred meaning as much as possible.

Korean studies

I don’t have free time and even if i did i would dedicate it to japanese tv most likely but anyways the little korean tsudies i’ve been doing lately…. consist of youtube as in

https://i1.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img547/8177/55630864.png– looking up lyrics of songs/performances (this it pretty rare lol but whatever i do look up i usually add to anki) I just don’t really care to look up song lyrics lol. I really could just listen to the song a hundred or a coupl ehundred times, same for the performances, and i will not look up anything. It really just not that a big deal. That’s why i get realllllllllllly irritated when i hear those american kids always sayin’ oh yeah but it’s not in english so i don’t know what he’s saying and  i can’t sing a long. *sob*  *sob*. all i’m thinking is “bitch the crap that you listen to is probably better off not being understood.” secondly”, that’s the dumbest excuse ever. I just really listen for the emotion and everything and i really just don’t really care to look up the lyrics because i’m doing other shit and there’s so many other aspects to a song besides the lyrics. obviously there have been some songs where i look up the lyrics and i just gain a lot more insight about the song or it totally betrayed my thoughts about the song. I was totally sure the song was about x y z in a x y z way or whatever and the lyrics just do not match my preconceived notion.

– asking people on chiebukuro what people said on a korean tv show that’s on youtube. ie strong heart (with celebs i care about! the part gain was very interestin… hmmm). I love the parts of the show that involves interesting talk/story-telling. everything else is shit to me lol and i think the ratio of understanding/not understanding/not able to catch what the person said and being able to look it up / i did look it up in my dic and it was correctly heard but it’s just one of those things that’s not in the dictionary  so i gotta either google about it in korean or japanes or ask on chiebukuro .-  is pretty good. as in even if i didn’t look it up i would have no problem getting the gist. i would just miss out on the detail or that specific part of the story. BUT LIKE I SAID BEFORE i think this level is nothing especially for fluency. i’m not aiming for fluency in korean… just greater undersatnding to be able to understand/follow/gain ability to be able to look up something if they say something that only a fluent person would know (which i’m not)…  fluency is just mad time-consuming and hard-core and all that so i’m just being realistic especially with my other aspirations that take up my time. .  So basically i like asking people and really figure out/learn the parts i couldn’ catch. i know if i just keep watching it i’ll never figure it out and i’ll always be at 70% or whatever… actually the talk on the talk/variety on korean is sometimes really daily conversation so it’s not that bad PLUS the kanji crap helps me out a lot since i just lookat the word and convert it to chinese characters in my head lol. there was a time when i couldn’t do that but now i’m able to so i have gotten used to the korean readings somewhat. the kanji crap just makes it so much easier to remember/understand/recogniez/make connections etc etc/ it doesn’tmake learning/remembering korean EFFORTLESS necessarily but it makes it so much EASIER and make it seem more manageable but there’s still those all those adjectives and verbs and onomatopeia and other crap that have no kanji behind it.. hanja just gives me more motivation…. makes it seem less hopeless of a cause lol. wouldn’t you feel discouraged if you kept trying to remember korean but kept forgetting it. that’s why knowing kanji just gives you so much motivation. also ther’s way too many vowels to the point sometimes i feel like people are mispronouncing it and that’s why i misheard it or it’s just impossible to remember. i remember the ㅇㅎㄴㄴㅇㅈㄷㅊㅍ but i don’t remember if it’s ㅓㅑㅏㅐㅑㅓ and then the word might 3 syllables and then there might be even bacchim. it becomes so ridiculous to remember it.

+++ but anyways the korean? or japanese-korean? or zainichi peeeps? whoever that’s answering my questions on chiebukuro are very nice bevause they’r fluent in korean so they have no problem transcribing the lines i want. they usually also explain the meaning for me so it saves me googling with quotes and shit. it’s very nice and helpful :). another reason i don’t see the point of learnig korean from english.

– I don’t know why but i was watching some japanes tv shows and all of a sudden i was like hey was t-ara on strong heart or gain on strong heart … and then all these people kept popping over one after the other. t-ara because they were in japan and i wanted to see if they talk about japan on strong heart ( I get curious what expereices those kpop stars had / what they thought/ etc etc). they didn’t in the clips i saw but they told a very interesting story about sleeeeeping. for gain, hers was interesting. it’s about her solo album’s title track pv and the whole sexy thing. so if you’re a gain fan and learnig korean … definitely watch and learn.  and then i have this folder in firefox called watch korea tv shows. i also hvae one for japaneseones. i add stuff to it but i don’t know when i should watch it.  i just have so much crap i want to watch.

https://i0.wp.com/imageshack.us/a/img713/9260/londons.pngoh oh and i just remembered for secret garden, i think i started watching it in summer of 2011? i’m like still not done with it lol. i think i’m on ep 11 or 14 or something. eh i should just watch the last ep (but at the same time i have other crap i want to watcH). that’s how korean dramas should be watched, 1st epl, something in the middle, last ep or maybe last 2 eps lol. korean dramas are so damn draggy to me… like every fuckin scene is just like no cut down the dialgoue but 20 lines. if i were abel to edit a script or edit an episode of the korean darma i’m telling you the duration would be like at least cut in half. it would that much more watchable imo.  but anyways just because this drama has all its episode scripts up doesn’t mean i’m gonna forcemyself to watch all the eps to learn korean because i’m just not as motivated for korean as i am for japanese and i think it makes more sensefor me to watch the talk/variet eps featuring famous people i care about on youtube  then torturing myself with koreandramas. they’re just so goddamn unwatchable. sometimes you just hvae to decide what’s best for you. some korean dramas may have all the scripts up and talk/variety just only has the text on the screen so you may have to ask somebody what’d they say or look up every combination of sound you think it is OR just give up and keep watching. so obviously dramas are more good for learning in that sense but if you hat ekorean dramas it makes no sense. lol. luckily i have japnaese so i can ask these korean-fluent people that use chiebukuro for help. i don’t think you would get as much help on yahoo.answers because i’m pretty sure there’s more korean-japanese fluent people than korean-english people?

+ I deifnitely feel improvement in my korean gradually i suppose. i remember watching talk/variety korean in 2011 around the time of secret garden and i would have to either look up all the text on the screen or ignore it because i do not know what the word means or i would know if they wrote it in kanji. now from the talk/variety i saw the other day i knew practically all the words on the screen… let’s say 90% ? i’m able to recognize the reading of the kanji so i’m able to do hanguel -> kanji in my head for the meaning with also the help of context also there’s some korean-korean words (no kanji behind the word) that i’ve learned that i’ve seen again and again so it’s been reinforced. that enables time to understand those words every time they’re used… maybe to a greater extent even or if they’re used for another meaning, i’ll be able to remember it because of the prior connection i’ve made before.  Like I noticed with japanese, once you get all the common/daily conversation words/pharases etc etc it makes it possible to more easily remember/learn/recognize stuff that isn’t as common – that isn’t as commonly used in daily conversatoin etc etc. I dont think i’m nearly there with korean as far as knowing all the crap in common daily conversation to the point i’m more easily able to learn less common stuff… i’ll get there gradually and slowly which is fine with me. i don’t gots time. I remember reading somewhere that jay park was like oh sometimes i don’t understand difficult korean.. and that’s true. that’s one of te biggest differences between fluent / not fluent. if you live in korea for 5 years straight probably there’s nothing somebody will say that you can’t catch or don’t know or don’t understand. but if you only are there 1 or 2 years obviously you know all the COMMON AND useful words and you may not very every frikin noun under the sun, or would it be adjective in korean’s case.  before I didn’t notice his intonation. i thought he had perfect intonation i notice his english intonation here and there when he speaks korean. but i am still very jealous of his korean skills because he’se better than me at speaking.  I wish korea would be more understanding and smart about hanja so that’s it’s easier for people to learn korean. i feel bad for anyone who had to learn korean after moving to korean without taking advantage of hanja. that’s a lot time that could’ve saved.

thirdly, i don’t read korean lol ie go outta my way to read the internet or whatever. i have so much japanese crap to read in my que. also, i hate how they don’t use kanji. and thirdly, my internet browsing in korean consists of just googling 성형전 and 성형후 lol so it involves pictures and sometimes i do read the text around the picture but you know i don’t have to.  this intrigues me a lot though lol because it’s so differrent! i’m like wtf happened.

so it’s just whatever korean media + anki.

anki says i have 1462 cards for korean  and the oldest one was created 2012 january 22. that osunds wrong to me the old est card.. maybe the anki 2 upgrade/othe rupgrades f’e dit up? i don’ tknow. but yeah i’m just going about it in a chill way and i don’t really stress about adding cards or anything. ithink immersion is more important anyway with learning/remembering.

i’ll post some of the stuff i got from strong heart and chiebukuro. if you wanna be like heys i’m better than you i feel better or  be like omg i’ve bee nstudyin gkorean for 3 years and i’m nowhere near your level lol and get motivation (but seriously why the hell would you be behind me. if you’ve doing it for 3 years or more  ) .

my card format for korena is word in front and definition/usage in the back.

I’m just gonna post the back of the card to save time and you can guess what word i was trying to learn.

her pitch off in the performances 😦 but at least it’ll sound awesome on the track!
I do not have a goal of reading books in korean
1) lack of hanja/kanji
2) this isn’t a valid reason . it’s a partial reason. i heard somewhere that _ book was popular to __- types of books are popular in korea. they’re basically namida/choudai / i suffered my ass off / i worked my ass off. i just am not drawn to any media where the main focus is that. the book they mentioned that was a best sellersseemed boring to me. it reminded me of those god awful korean dramas with the godawful acting and the never ending crying and awful camera work and awful acting (this is my opinion ! ). i don’t understand why anyone would want to read a book about that.  I absolutely hate it when people say oh DON’T BE CLOSE-MINDED. YO USHOULD TRY IT. or YOU HAVE TO FINISH TO JUDGE IT OR REVIEW it. people who say irresponsible things like this are idiots.  there’s probably a higher chance of me liking a book that i am initially interested in just from the title or cover or whatever. they do put effort in the tittle and cover for a reason to attract readers . if i went after every unappealing book i would stop reading altogether. it’s like that with any media. then the people who say you have to finish it OBVIOUSLY  have no lives because ain’t nobody got time for that. people say that need to get a life… get a job, make your own money, stop sucking on your parents’ money fund.
3) korean people reall y like japanese novels. so i already feel more korean just because i’ve read many japanese novels. lol. but seriousloy they do like reading them.. why bother reading them in korean when i can read them in japanese with all the kanji glory that i can swim in .

helpful! i love the emotionless characteristic of the narrator’s voice

Korean {as it is}

Here are the first three episodes and transcripts of a very amusing Korean TV show called 남녀탐구생활. The Best translation I could come up with is “an investigation into the lives of men and women” but if anyone can suggest a better one then do let me know it.

Thanks to friends from Lang-8 for writing these for me.

Import them into LingQ and get studying.

Intriguing korean drama

I ran across this Korean drama: 닥치고 꽃미남밴드 (flower band something something) on youtube because of the videos they have on the side that’s supposedly related to videos you’ve watched. It’s quite interesting. I was watching/ignoring it while i was doing my anki reviews. Before I was watching some other korean drama while doing my anki reviews.

I like the show because the people are good looking (everyone looks unique && and no one has that dreaded dreaded japanese haircuts that japanese ikemen have. god those haircuts are terrible… their hair is too dman long damn it!) but not in the plastic surgery way ie… chang gun soku but does anyone think he’s good-looking anyhoo? he looked so much better before the plastic surgery. it’s quite a waste.  I tried to find reviews for this show but I only found a couple which only praised the show. one of the things they praised was the BROMANCE. I WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD to that! the show works for me because repetition is important for learning languages and i don’t mind repeating scenes. this show is just fun.. i don’t care about blahblah that might be unrealistic or whatever… IN FACT the first episode i watched was lke episode 14 … but i don’t care about korean dramas so i can watch it backwards for all i care and i’ll get the same amount of enjoyment lol. So what i did was watch episode 14 then started on episode 1. Apparently this shown isn’t that well-known because dream high2 is/was airing at the same time though from the clips of dream high 2 i’ve seen on yt and the bad stuff i heard about dream high 1… this show is probably better?

only found scripts for the first 3 eps. & 4. I learned a couple words before i found the script anyway but the script makes it easier. Maybe i’ll write a review if and when i finish watching it. OH AND there’s a white guy in it! yay! lol. I’m used to seeing foreigners on japanese tv but not much on korean tv notthat i watch that much korean tv.

SPEAKING Of k-dramas i’m still stuck on episode 11 of secret garden just because  have a shitload of other crap i want to watch/watching and then…. for going through the script to see if there’s anything iwant to leran… i’m at episode 6. so it’s almost been a year since i tried to watch this drama and my understanding of it has of course gone up since that’s inevitably going to happen over this long period of time. i wonder how many years it’ll take for me to finish watching this drama. i just got sick of the drama really quick… a insulting b or a arguing with b… or a and b insulting each other in this long-winded way which is apparently witty and well-written or something but the fact it’s long-winded makes me bored since it is only the 20th or 10th time this kind of scene is happening. like i said, i do fastforward anything with old people etc etc but… i don’t know… it’s not enough to make me watch it as of right now. You can try to make the argument oh well if you’re fluent in korean then you know what they’re saying and you’d find it funny and entertaining and all that… but if i was fluent in korean i would’ve heard so much more bitching and whining up (immersion = fluency rights) to now compared to if i wasn’t … i think i would like the show even less/be less tolerant in all honesty lol… in fact if i was that fluent i would be bored with the writing… probably?   I really think k-dramas can possibly be on-par with american dramas if they made them 10 or 15 minute shorter and cut out the melodrama and and and made the season less than 22 eps, characteres bitched/whined like 90% less, make shit 90% less long-winded, etc etc.

you know long-winded thing reminds me of the downfall of that show house MD. they try to be witty and to be witty SOOOO shit always has to be dragged out and become long-winded when they have conversations where they go back and forth.  but rather than the viewers being amused by this wittieness they just feel irritated and honestly it’s just tiring trying to follow that… and it’s not worth following.. because it’s not that witty. it’s just unnecessarily tiring.

I just don’t like k-dramas. I can’t make myself care. but anyways this k-drama is intriguing to me so hopefulllllllly it’ll be a good 16 ep ride..
